Prejudice Against Bearded Ladies in ESO

My stance here is not "I want bearded women!". I don't really care about adornment like that. But the discussion was created and I find it funny that people argue against it. I thought that most would just go "sure, why not" and move on. And I must say this is quite fun discussion here. Certainly better than those "nerf this" or "racial changes ruined my life" discussions that are so common lately. And I don't understand the objections people have against bearded ladies.

As for capes, if I were to argue further about what's more reasonable to get first in game I'd still have to go with female beards. I mean, there are already beards in game, converting them for use by females should be much easier than programming in another cosmetic collectible slot and making the capes flowy and not glued to your back. ;)

As others have already pointed out, you don't know that.

    Fake beards are a thing.

    So is hormonal weirdness.

    And you know, magic.

It should at least be available with the cosmetic packs after the character creation.

    That's potentially illegal.

It's one thing - albeit still bad - to lock fictional races behind paywalls. But if they decided to allow lady-beards and required players to pay extra for that option, the game would arguably be financially discriminating against people on the basis of gender identity.

Why not. More cosmetic options the better. Fashion scrolls is the real endgame after all and if I spend hours in the character creator then it’s more likely I’ll spend money in the crown store for costumes and other cosmetics for my digital Barbie/Ken doll.

Isn't it lore-breaking? This reminds me of when Peter Jackson was accused of racism because there were no black hobbits.

But whatever, if people can have flaming mounts, polymorphs and etc, why not some facial hair? lol

Edit: put it as a disguise and problem solved.

Though of course all of us can have a hairy face if we truly wish for it.

Just hire yourself a Khajiit apprentice yes!

The hair is not optional for the rest of the body though no.

It's 2019 they should remove genderlock on hairstyles and adornments.

Some of the male ones could fit females great and vice versa.

"Its *current year*" is a really bad excuse. Genderlock exists because simple biology exists.

    *pop*

That was all the Elves, Khajiit, Argonians, werewolves, vampires, daedra, spriggans, zombies, and ogres disappearing, because simple biology exists. And the dragons, but they were invisible, so no one noticed.

So on Nirn Females can grow facial hair naturally?

Yeah if female argonians can have mammalian breasts everything is possible!

I just want to clarify something, are you for the genderlock of hairstyles? Not beard but just hairstyle. I'm not implying you are.

Not sure about them, but personally man buns are a crime against humanity. As far as in-game goes, whatever the ethnic history deems appropriate is fine by me. Hair style and the ability to grow facial hair like Grizzly Adams are 2 different things surely.

Of course they can. What were they called? Khajiit? ;)
Also the game puts eyelashes under facial hair so...
And again, repeat after me. Fake. Beards.

BTW. Blind eyes are also in this category, strange, isn't it?

    ...Compromise?

Make the beards fake, available to all, and have to be a different color than your current hair. If you have dark hair, light beard - shows its fake like in Life of Brian. Could be tied to the Jester's festival, a fake beard reward or crown item. We could get a cool thing from each Jester.

Or have obvious hooks behind the ears if it's not an absurd looking color?

Think of Argonians with fake patriarch beards! How is the Khajiit who impersonates Jorunn not already wearing one?

To my knowledge, not generally, except for Khajiit (obviously).

But my point is: The reason for that (if it's true) is not biology. The reason is simply the whim of the writers. They introduced lizard breasts, they clearly don't care about Terran biology.

    Also, fake beards.
    And magic.
