Have you completed veteran Frostvault?

Veteran Frostvault is not for casuals. I went into veteran Depths of Malatar not long after the patch was live with a random group. And even though none of us knew a single thing about the dungeon, we got it done in a reasonable amount of time. But even after attempting the dungeon with 4 completely different groups, not a single one of those times did we get past the 2nd boss. I'm not gonna cry, and say they made it too hard flat out. I think it's a great way to encourage players to learn through trial and tribulation, rather than just charge through. But like I said, veteran Frostvault is not for casuals.

The new dlc feels easier than previous ones. excluding the idea of mobs that one shot you if you block and one shot the tank if he doesnt block (non boss fights) which we complained about since wolfhunter, i see no problem with them. Other than the bug in frost vaults that i encountered with the first group i went in with (fires in last boss animated in one place, but dealt damage in others, after wiping for two hours and not understanding wtf we finally decided to reset, after few more wipes after reset, it fixed itself, probably a problem of too many people trying the new dungeon at once).
and again, i have no idea what zos is doing about healers at the moment, both dungeons are easier if you run with 3 dds again (things die faster=less mechanics).

We went in without knowing anything at all, and frankly, the biggest difficulty was the Resident Evil-esque boss fight, takes a lot of spinning around.

For those of you who just loves, loves, loves to spoil fun for themselves, here's an advice:
Burn him rapidly while he's doing his mechanic with standing still and shooting projectiles - nothing happens during that phase, and the faster you burn, the fewer laser phases you'll get.

Last boss was a nice deja vu and even a giggle. We didn't try HM (it was almost morning by then, we've cleared vDoM first), but on non-HM, it's quite manageable.

vFV is fun, when it doesn't bug out, with either lasers going through the boss and killing people behind him, or the last boss desynching and burning you when you're nowhere near the fire shooting from where his arms were. Out of 9 runs I did there, the laser boss bugged out twice, and the last boss 3 times.

Only the Laser fight seemed annoying a bit specially with the boss going into its shell every 1% hp. The rest were kinda simple, even last boss didnt take us too much tries

OMG SOMEONE WHO UNDERSTANDS MY PAIN (about last boss fire bug), funny they released a dungeon bugged,
also if u talk about people that get damaged by lasers when u roll dodge to behind the boss at the last moment, i think it is how roll dodge works, u can encounter similar things in many previous dungeons (poison dragon breaths in SCP, the scream in FH, etc etc) if you dont go there before time, u will get hurt.

This is the harder of the two, but also the more fun in my opinion. Plus lots of backpacks
Tl;dr really weigh the fun you have in game vs the business practices you are supporting.

I personally found the Malatar one to be harder (that annoying hunger). Might be because I'm a tank.

Probably a stupid idea but am saving both the new dungeons for later. Still have a lot of achievements from existing DLC that I want to complete first. I'd rather the achievements sit at 0% complete than have one or two crossed off in a DLC. :s

I really enjoyed it! I like a good challenge, and this was definitely that. The group I had was a pug and we had two people switch out (it was very late and they needed to sleep), but we got through.

I liked the laser boss when he wasn’t bugged (sometime his shield sphere animation didn’t go off and this tripped me up), and really enjoyed the skeever mechanic on the final boss. I had a few moments in this dungeon where it felt like I was playing a bullet hell game.
