In none of the advertisements for the horse is it said, "Free Mount"; it's listed as one of the bonus items given with the expansion (it's "free" in the sense that you don't need to buy it with crowns or gold, it's a gift). What IS said, is that when you pre-order you get the use of THAT mount immediately, whereas you get the rest of the goodies when the expansion is launched.
Now, if you want the mount & you are able to save up the money for the expansion, you will STILL get that mount. If you can't pay until launch or later, that's ok you will STILL be given that mount.
They just want as many pre-orders as possible & offering one of the items from the expansion for use RIGHT NOW is a good hook.0 -

Not quite correct.
There was a very small grace period after the official Summerset launch where you could still obtain all the pre-prepurchase collectibles. But without the complications of a Physical Collector Edition this year, pre-purchase materials may be cut off at launch.
The best route is to watch the Crown Store Chapter tab. When the non-Collector Edition items like the Rahd-m'Athra, Noble Clan Chief Costume, and Dragon Imp Pet are no longer included on that list they will no longer be received when you purchase - no matter which retailer or which edition you choose.signing off0 -

Not in the video itself, no. As OP mentioned, it has a Youtube pop-up in the top right at 1:33 that says 'Get your free mount now'. I never really like the wording 'free' when it is a bonus to something you are paying for. It is free with purchase prior to launch. It will not be available afterwards. So find the money or get someone to buy it for you, or forget about it.1 -

It's not free in any sense. If something is free, it involves no cash outlay whatsoever. It's like saying all the content in any given dlc/expansion is free as long as you pay for the dlc. Them wheels on that car are free as long as you pay for the car.
