Currency exchange system

Hey everyone.
Now that it's been confirmed that it's legal to exchange crown store items for in-game gold, wouldn't the players benefit from an official currency exchange system offered by the game itself? (like it happens in some other MMOs)
I think it would be important to standardize gold/crown ratios and to prevent potential scammers, even though I understand that it could ruin the "free market" experience for some players.
What do you think?

If by currency exchange system you mean be able to put crowns into trade windows, then yes.

No, we don't need a fixed ratio of crowns-to-gold. If you don't want to be scammed, do your own homework and figure out the going rate. The game doesn't need to be that dumbed down.

Currency-exchange systems only really work well in MMOs when the "earned-in-game currency" is a limited one. Like Refined Dilithium in Star Trek Online - you can only refine 8k-9k a day, per character. And even then, they have plenty of other things that Dil can be used for]and have to do periodic "Dilithium sink" events to keep inflation and exchange rates under control.
(they tried to set up a similar system in Neverwinter, but then sabotaged it by giving Founder Pack purchasers large piles of refined currency and making it the auction currency. This let the ca$h players and Big Market Moguls buy up all the Crowns (well, Zen) and nuked the economy, at least while I was playing)

If you do an exchange where the in-game currency can be farmed/obtained in infinite quantities? It gets nuts. So if ESO did this, it couldn't be for gold.

10 Crown Store Soul Gems = 400 Crowns
10 Filled Soul Gems from a Vendor = 5000 Gold

    40 Crowns = 500 Gold
    4 Crowns = 50 Gold

Best Value - 21,000 Crowns for $150.00 (yes I rounded up a penny)
    Same Value - 14,000 Crowns for $100.00

You could buy 350 Crown Store Soul Gems for 14,000 Crowns
You could buy 350 Filled Soul Gems from a Vendor for 175,000 Gold

    14,000 Crowns = 175,000 Gold
    14,000 Crowns = $100.00
    175,000 Gold = $100.00

    $1 = 140 Crowns
    $1 = 1750 Gold

Only if the House takes a cut of at least 30%.

These games that have money to in-game currency exchanges have very unaffordable prices for sought after items.

If they want to add an automated player to player exchange, I think that's fine. The market would regulate itself. If you're suggesting a way to let players just cash in gold for crowns directly without another player, I can't see ZOS going for that. In the first example, they still get a sale for the crowns from someone.

No simply put this would diminish the value of gold
