And as a native Russian myself I just cant understand why would one want to play this game with unofficial localization. Besides that it is not an original language (so you can miss something or get the wrong info, which I have seen a lot) it is just harder to communicate with another players and then there are these problems like this one. It feels like you are ruining your own game for no reason. Just play in English and learn the language, it is the best opportunity

Sometimes it's quite overwhelming to read English words and figures of speech I'm not familiar with yet. In this case I miss a lot more than if I was reading translated text. And I have to kinda pause a dialogue to figure out what exactly the NPC just said.
And obviously it's a way easier to read your native language than any other.
Speaking of issues while communicating with other non-Russian players, I have none. I have both Russian and English POI names on the map and dungeon names, gear sets are not translated by the addon in purpose of not to confuse people, and we also can link things in the chat so others could see the object in their own language.
So, it's OK, no issues here.
The only problem I have currently is that such things like furniture items, crafting materials, food and drinks - these are translated by RuESO addon, and I can't use ZOS's text search to find them. Looks like RuESO team now have to leave original English names for all tradable items so people could use new text search.

***. Guess all the russians in pugs will have to learn english and actually be able to communicate with people
Not gonna happen. We speak the language we want to speak and not the one we have to.
Oh yes that reminds me of that one russian guy in a large group who is utterly ignorant and persist on speaking russian despite all of the conversation is in english.

That font in the chat is most likely the Abracadabric font, it's definitely not a Cyrillic. Believe me, what you see in the chat is not how real Russian language looks. To see a normal Cyrillic you have to install RuESO addon, which adds real Cyrillic font to the chat.IndorilArwynLlethran wrote: »The game has no official Russian localization, ZOS only added cyrillic font to chat, everything else in Russian in this game is fanmade, so ZOS is not responcible for it. All questions must be addressed to those fans who make addons.

It DOES work with the latest version of RuESO. You just need to update it.
Why devs didn't fix it yet, by the way? Someone know? It's so lame to use the addon, when it should be fixed long ago. That font in the chat is most likely the Abracadabric font, it's definitely not a Cyrillic.
