Not awesome.
After seeing what was possible via Awesome Guild Store, what was got was another demonstration by ZOS on how to completely miss the target.
Why can a player can create a useful solution for such a minor disappointment, but not you folks at ZOS?

The solution presented by ZOS is basic and petty.
My point is that AGS already shows how a good interface can be created. ZOS chose "something else".
I am not wrong.

As I posted already;
I think that the new guild shop-O-matic is a very cool change once you get used to it, which only takes a second of use. Much better than previous shop menu.2 -
VexingArcanist✭✭✭✭I find the new guild store interface much more useful, much more. Could have had all the bells and whistles that AGS did? I guess so. Is it satisfactory? For me it will do much better than the previous version.
The real issue is this game needs an auction house and cutting out the guild scam store crap.9 -

The new store is much better. I'm sure AGS will get updated to add some additional features to the new UI.6 -

✭The new guild store UI compared to the previous one is great and will be very useful on consoles. But compared to AGS it's a beginner work, and AGS will be still in use after the update in PC.6 -

There is most certainly a search function. Worked great. I quickly found out that people are out of their minds when it comes to buying Kresh Fiber. It was between 2900-6000gp! I spent the day searching for my own Kresh Fiber thank you very much.2

✭✭Its very simple and clean interface, item search is faster (where awesome Guild Store takes lot of time) and working fine.
ZOS did great job, it worth while playing using Gamepad or in console.

You ask what I was complaining about? I told you in the original post: There was an opportunity to take ideas presented by a user and incorporate them into a truly functional and useful interface. They chose a different, less useful solution.
As for the other changes, I have no opinion. I accept them like all the other QoL/nerfing changes that I've endured over the years.4 -
I think the new guild store is actuallt pretty okay. Works a bit better and faster than AGS for me.. the only thing that reaaaaaally bothers me is that you can't sell things directly from your crafting bag and for that reason alone I'll still use AGS tbh4 -

ZOS finally realised they need to improve guild store search UI. They did it, but very poorly. They had an example of functionalities it should have, but they went lazy mode. Just because current search is better than the old one, it doesn't mean it couldn't be better. Why we need an add-on at all?
It's just like with buying a new phone, sure it's better than the previous one, but if you have to overhaul basic apps with a third party ones is it really so much better?I'm done with this game because of ZOS pushing us into Vengeance, because they don't know how to fix Cyrodiil.10 -

Yes, yes it does.
i was looking for some set pieces in medium and I just selected medium armor and typed in the set name in the filter and hit search.
Even remembered my filter setting when I went from trader to trader.
And the results showed up much quicker than Awesome Guild Store

lientier✭✭✭✭well I was hyped about a real search function, when I need something specific, very nice. But I would rather have AGS updated, since I actually used the known/unknown function a lot, since most of the time I am not looking for a specific recipe/furniture plan but for cheap ones I dont know yet. now its back to flipping pages (needed to that before... buuut) scrolling and trying to detect unknown recipes..
I also which is a minor issue miss the fact that AGS remembered the price of items. Also they added unitprice for stacks, and writs while searching, but it is also very handy for selling, I know its a question of math.. but still!
Also I dont like that they made different categories for food/drink recipes.. why??? make this a subcategory, like the different types of furniture plans.
other minor issue, yes you can select recent searches, but I would have liked the option to have favourite searches
Yeah its better than the vanilla guild store before, and especially better if youre looking for a specific set-item or a specific motif/recipe.. but less great than I expected.

my biggest problem with the new setup is that it's worthless if you're looking for furnishing recipes, proviisioning recipes, or motifs based on a 'what I don't know' basis...you cannot merely filter out anything that the chracter already knows. Which is a big deal for those of us who deal in such things.

✭Ok, I see where I went wrong with this. Thanks to those posters bringing Console users into the discussion.
I was naiive in assuming that this change was to benefit all players. In hindsight, it was introduced to address the poor interface that console users had been suffering with for the past five years.
So, the clunky design and operation is to suit consoles users. It was never about giving all of us an improved interface.
What a double-edged sword. They had to do something for consoles, but by doing so, they were hamstrung in what they could do for everyone else.5 -

If they were going to make changes then they should have looked at what addons were in use widely and what functionality people found useful.
If one person can create the most used trader UI addon in their free time then my expectations of ZoS should that they should be able to come up with something at least on a par.
Even if it didn't have quite every single piece of AGS functionality, what they came out with is just bare bones and very disapointing for one of the flagship QOL improvements.
Its an improvement for console granted... but no way that I'd swap to it on PC.GM of the Unholy LegacyPC/EU/EP11 -

As I play I move anything I don't want into junk, and then when a space comes up in my sales section of a Guild Store I just slide in something from junk, quick and easy - except now I can't do that! I've searched in settings to see if I can get it back but can't find a way. Bring back my junk button please!!!1

BUT
As others mentioned, known/unknown recipes filter is a must.
Price filter is still useless. Unless you're only looking for full stacks in a narrow price range, that is. I don't understand how filter on stack price (rather than unit price) even got past design draft, was implemented and then survived two UI updates.

Fail: Lacks known/unknown filter (leveling/completing library - AGS still mission critical)
Fail: EZ to buy, but completely misses EZ to sell (AGS still mission critical)
Fail: EZ to access and sell from craftbag (AGS still mission critical)
Moving on, nothing to see here. This is not the solution set I was looking for. Will use it when searching for a specific item(s); otherwise praying for a quick AGS update.2 -
