Race change token is a disappointment

What a disappointment: I was so waiting for changing my Bosmer's race to Orc but the token only allows me to change within the alliance.
I know it's my fault to be only aware of this now while this is a known thing but still: the "race change" term suggest nothing with regards to alliance restrictions.
Even with "any race any alliance" I have to stay in the original alliance according to some info.

Overall I'm utterly disappointed now, I have 3 useless tokens and a lost hope to convert one of my char I so wanted to with a complete inability to actually change the race on my preference.

    Any race any alliance pack lets you race change to any race on any alliance. I know I have done it.

    Like the other common problem with players not realizing that Outfit Slots are per character instead of account wide, ZOS could easily clarify this with a line of text.

    I know, I know. I'm expecting ZOS to make something customer-friendly.

    But then, they did just add a Guild Search UI, so miracles can happen!

    Your problem is trivial and self induced. However you may want to sort that attitude out as it stinks and quite frankly if you can spend the time bitching on the forums you can go spend the £20 and buy the perk.

    If you want something that bad go and get it. You have no sympathy here.

    A company makes some major changes, strips away some races of their long-established core features (Bosmer stealth, Altmer caster proficiency, Khajiit Crit Chance, Argonian can’t do anything better than anyone now so rip in pieces, Dunmer Flame damage), and now requires players make a real money purchase to change the affected races

    How blatant do they have to be for you to see that this entire “balance” fiasco is about wringing players for more money. A token that requires you spend money to properly use it cannot be considered “free”.

    That’s not anti-consumer practices. ESO as a game has always had 3 races to each alliance. They added an EXTRA perk that would allow you to make any race on any alliance. This was a feature in the game that was added long before race change tokens.
    If you were to go and attempt to create an AD Orc right now without the any race any alliance, how in the world is it fair that you should be able to use a race change token to get something you couldn’t normally get.

    For everyone but we console players have to wait two more weeks until the update and the tokens are handed over to us.

    What really makes me sad here is the community's reaction on a simple expression of disappointment.
    One would think being part of a game together means something more than a load of arrogance towards a poster who dared to voice a problem he encountered for whatever reason.
    But here I was fortunate to meet more trolls than I have ever run into on my way to the gully in the Rift when I pop down to craft Hundings.
    This is even more disappointing than my failed plan to change the race of my toon.
    Not surprising though.
    Keep them coming! Goats are ready to be issued.
