I don't think I would ever buy them if they are only character unlocks unless I know for sure they are account wide unlocks. I am guessing they are not? :( I was thinking about buying one or two but if they are just character unlocks I will not buy. For that type of crowns I would want account wide unlocks.

Whereas, some people with 10 chars might think 4500 was fair for an account wide unlock.

Let's a grip on reality here.

    4500 crowns is $45.

That's quite a lot of money. For an outfit slot in a computer game.

Star Trek Online sells 2 account wide outfit slots for $2.50. ESO is 36 times more expensive. Plus in STO you don't have to pay in game currency every time you change an outfit.

As long there isnt any better way of mount training for alts (pref account wide mount training, and while we're at it account wide achievements) Im not interested in creating alts.

I'm quite upset about the fact outfit slots aren't account-wide. Not surprised though, I guess that's just ZOS sticking it to their loyal players and showing us how much they care.

I don't buy character only unlocks. Feels to scammy like asian MMORPG that is 100% f2p and does not lock content.

Isn't STO a far less popular game, though?

In which case, wouldn't you expect it to be fairly cheap?

    Also, that would be account-wide.

    So, any number of characters.

If you had 20 chars (as some people do, apparently), that would be $2.25 each.

I agree it's still not cheap, but I guess I'm trying to find a middle ground between what people want to pay and what they want to charge us.

Obviously, I would rather pay less and to be honest, it's not a priority for me, as I only really play my main at the moment and I don't like many of the armour pieces on her.

I would buy one extra slot to change second stave. More than that? Unlikely, but possible.

Heck I even resent paying gold to use motifs and dyes I've already unlocked. This "outfitting system" has been, from its inception, a needless rip off and is insulting to players. No way am I giving them real money for it for any reason.

Sci-fi is less popular than fantasy.

I provided a concrete example of the price of a better comparable product (because there's no cost to change costumes) in another game. For 1/36th of the price suggested here.

If you want to argue that $45 is reasonable, by all means show us any MMO with a costume slot in that region.

No it's ESO which sells single character outfit slots. STO's costume slots are, as I said, account wide.

$2.50 gets you 2 outfit slots for all of your characters - up to around 60'ish max.

I get the best look I can for the toon. If something better comes along i will spend gold and adjust the outfit. Don't see any reason to give them a new outfit to spend gold on.

If I want a different look for awhile there are a lot of good costumes.

I have 4 outfit slots on my main. And I may buy other ones in the future. I don't need more than one on my alts as the time I spend on them is negligible.
