new bosmer passive grants 3 meter detection radius, and evil hunter grants you a 6 meter range for detection radius when used

does this mean that when i pop evil hunter will my stealth detection radius be 9 meters total?

No even though they are both labeled as bonuses to detection there are two separate detection buffs. We are now calling what Bosmer get, and what is found on the Way of the Air set as plain detection, and what Evil Hunter and Magelight give as Truesight.

Boosts to plain detection (Hunters Eye) only effect your chance to detect sneaking enemies that are hiding in crouch.

The Truesight detection (indicated by a red eye icon above the player’s head) allows you to detect enemies that are invisible, via skill or potions.

A buff to plain detection will not increase your Truesight detection radius.

In short, a Bosmer with 3/3 Hunters Eye using evil hunter will have 3 meters of plain stealth detection, and 6 meters of Truesight.

This information is courtesy of @Ratzkifal and he can clarify anything I might have missed.

in short, hunters eye lets you see crouching players not invisible. which is trash.

The whole concept is trash. Bosmer have always had stealth, never counter stealth. Bosmer have ALWAYS been thieves, NEVER guards.
Taking stealth away from the Bosmer is like taking magic away from the Altmer, making Nords allergic to mead, or making Orcs pretty.

Anything that would nerf invisibility can't be allowed. In fact, doesn't the patch note state even less things will break invisibility? I can't understand how ZOS finds that balanced, esp. when you can't even buy detect pots in PvP zones.

Everyone just needs to start using invis pots. I already do that to NBs and never get tired of their cries over it. Invis pot (when they uncloak by me) -> miss -> miss -> miss -> miss -> miss -> miss (last part of their attempted gank combinations) -> DB them and finish them off :D

    Never gets old...
