What do you think is the most effective 2h wepon for PVP and why?
Seems axes might die after the bleed nerf, swords seem solid but I wonder if with people stacking resistances at the moment whether maces would be more effective.

✭✭Swords are just candy wrapped broccoli. Useful only when your damage does not profit from physical penetration (= bleed or you play magicka).1 -

Beffagorn✭✭✭Nirnhoned Axe is by far the best. Even after the incoming bleed nerf, they're going to be BiS
Nirnhoned Maul could be useful in a Uppercut centric build. If you somehow manage to land it, that is.
Greatsword is just garbage.1 -

Sword is getting a 1% increase to simply address a rounding issue the game has of always rounding down.
If the link I posted is TLDR, it's pretty much axe> mace (if target armor more than 19k or so) > sword. If you are penetrating 11k without mace, then sword could work assuming your target is not over the resist cap.0 -

I'm looking to run it on my stam DK, it is a dizzy swing build, I'm having a mixed run getting it to land but the more I use it the easier it gets.
I'm running spriggans, werewolf hide, and bloodspawn so alot of my damage will be coming from ultimates so ideally I want these to hit hard, in this case it seems like mace might be the best bet?

You should go with a Nirnhoned Maul.
Decisive is terrible. A legendary Decisive 2h is 40% chance to gain 1 additional Ultimate whenever you earn Ultimate, and iirc it doesn't work with procs like Bloodspawn or Werewolf Hide.
Word of advice. While you can get better at landing Uppercuts, you're not going to land it a single time against competent players. I strongly advise againt using 2h as your main weapon on a stamdk, as SnB or DW are much better and offer more utility, damage and resistance in SnB's case.Edited by Beffagorn on February 22, 2019 12:16PM3 -

Okay, if it doesn't work on procs I agree that it is useless!
I did try both SnB and Dual wield, found I lacked damage on sword and board. I was enjoying dual wield despite the fact that it doesn't really have a great spammable. One of the main reason i switched to 2h was because I really wanted to try Onslaught is BG's, I thought that the ulti return would go well with the Dk passives.PS4 EU - Daggerfall Covenant
