For me it is quite simple, I prefer the Breton’s. They are my favorite lore wise and also the closest equivalent the Elder Scrolls universe has to my actual family heritage. Bonus, I prefer the bonuses the Breton offers as well. So fo me, there really is no reason not to stay with Breton.
Khajiit.
I only have 3 non-Khajiit characters.
We'll get 3 race change token.
How convenient.

I'll probably use one race change token to adjust appearance (not race) of my main character a bit. And, almost certainly, the name change token to change the main's name. I won't change race of the character even if it's the worst choice for the class, because I often create a characters for RPG with some prehistory in mind, besides it seems there is a dialogues related problem with the race change, which I don't want to experience:
I will be keeping my races the same because I designed my characters with looks first and foremost as my reasons to pick a particular race, and racial passives were secondary. My toons are all based on old D&D characters so they have to look a certain way. That's the only reason I'm playing a Breton stamsorc as my main...definitely not optimal and I struggle with him, but he looks the way that particular character needed to look.
I am definitely in the minority, I know this is weird reasoning. If I *wasn't* basing my toons on old RP characters, I would be minmaxing all the way and I WOULD be changing races with the new patch.
Breton since ES III. Not about changing your main to fit a meta. Breton now feel in a very good spot lore-wise and it feels great to have passive that shine now as a race instead of having only a 3% magic cost reduction. They did a real good job on Breton racials lore-wise to make us feel unique. I have the hope they can do the same for some races that feel neglected.
their race is part of their identity and backstory, especialy since quite a few of them are in alliances other then what majority of their race belongs to and its incorporated into their backstory, so changing their race is basicaly going to destroy them as characters. I'd rather create new ones. i don't even do any sort of appearance changes on them other then clothes, hair and in some cases body markings/scaring (like my bosmer started out with both her eyes intact, but lost one of them in a heist gone wrong - that kind of change)
I get attached to my characters too much and not good enough player anyways for that small racials difference make any significant impact on my performance.
dirty worthless casual.
Reputation is what other people know about you. Honor is what you know about yourself. Guard your honor. Let your reputation fall where it will. And outlive the ***
I’ve been playing a Dunmer since Morrowind (2003) in all Elder Scrolls games. I had 0 idea about the meta when I made my Dunmer nb main, and of course I’m not going to change it. I think more people care about the preference than the meta. I understand both sides, but I’d play a Dunmer nb even if it was the worst combination in the game. Guess I was lucky.
PC EU - Ebonheart Pact Resdayn Indoril, Dunmer Magicka Nightblade - Main
I have only one character so I will be keeping my Redguard. But if the changes are good I might put more attribute points in Magic so he can use more of the Temple class skills.
A thought occurs to me. I've been saying routinely that race changes are out of the question because my characters are not transracial.
Since I'm going to be stuck with these tokens whether I want them or not - and I can't sell them to other players for something I actually want like an outfit slot - I might just make a character who is going to be transracial. Play them through a story, with them wishing they were some other race. Then, at some point, do a race change. It'll be either amazing or a role-playing disaster. XD
I can almost see it now.
"Don't look at me like I'm a high elf! I'm an orc at heart! Tusk off already!"
I’m not changing nothing on my Dunmer MagDk. DW Destro. I’m thinking I’ll run Spinners Julianos 1 Balorgh 1 kena all damage to get a baseline feel of the changes then Bright-Throat’s Julianos ultimately.
