Look, I really REALLY want class change, I do. But remember you agreed to a Term of Service before you created your account in this game:

"ZeniMax may patch, update, or modify a Service at any time with or without notice to You. Notwithstanding the foregoing, ZeniMax has no obligation to make available any patches, updates or modifications or correct any errors or defects in the Services. ZeniMax makes no guarantees about the persistence or availability of any user names or other personas at any time and assumes no liability for lost or deleted Account data. Except as prohibited by applicable law and subject to the Statutory Obligations (as defined in Section 1), You agree that ZeniMax will not be liable for any interruption of the Services, delay or failure to perform, any loss of Content (including, but not limited to, UGC, Game Mods and Downloadable Content), and/or Account data (including, but not limited to, Character data) resulting from any causes whatsoever. ZeniMax reserves the right to offer new Services, change and/or discontinue certain Services at any time in its sole discretion."

So really when you think about it the ONE race token that they offer is more than being kind. Does it suck for us the players that they made changes to the racial passives? Maybe. But we agreed to the ToS. So no we are actually NOT entitled to what you are asking for.

I don't recall saying I am entitled to this. And yes, I'm aware of the TOS. I'm probably one of the few people who reads things like that. All the OP is, is one possible alternative for those who have been asking for a class change (which, admittedly, I would love to have) token that ZOS has said they CAN'T give us because it's too hard for mysterious technical reasons. So, my suggestion is a thing they COULD do. Not as good as a class change token for those who really DO just want to change the class of an existing character, but something that would still have a tangible benefit for most people.

Like I said, I am still hoping they do the class change. I really need that. I have a crafter who has learned most of the motifs including the ones I bought from the store. I'm sorry if I misinterpreted what was written in OP, but you said "SHOULD"... Anyways, I am honestly hopelessly praying that they add a race change. lol :P

We ARE getting THREE race AND name changes with the update. Which is great. But it won't address the issue of people wanting to class change characters of classes they don't play and that feel "wasted" just sitting around while they are compelled to not only level a new class but to endure months long mount training and other achievements such as some of the more annoying and monotonous skill lines that we've all done ten times or more already.

It’s all the achievements & millions spent on motifs that are my concern. Account wide achievements would solve my issue. I have a main character for a reason and zero interest in playing another one.

Class change should be an option with how much of a jerk they have been with nerfing any and every playstyle that has ever existed.

Completely giving everything unlocked is worse, especially for new players who will have basically no meaningful progression left or never had a character with everything unlocked.

As someone who spent years playing WoW, I think I have some input to offer. By the time I'd played WoW for 7 years appx. Blizzard offered a "max level" option for RL money (it was before their "cash store" thing or whatever it is - I wasn't around long enough to see that in action).

I had many (like probably 20 or 25 max level girls at that point), and I did pay for several more, on accounts where there wasn't a max level toon.

Took the fun out of it really. It was like.... Wax Museum figures.... I didn't have any vested interest in them, because I hadn't developed them over time.

In the long run, it didn't matter. Blizzard took WoW in a direction I didn't find fun at all, so I quit. That was 2013; never been back. I personally think a "toon boost" to max everything is just a horrible idea, having been there done that.

I wouldn't really care if they did, but I don't really want them too.

The only thing in that list that is really time limited is mount training (which is solved by crown lessons or just making alts and feeding their horses in case you need them later) and Undaunted levels (which I do think could use more alternate ways to be powerleveled, but it really isn't that bad).

All of these except the mount training can be done pretty quickly even tho it’s nerve wrecking.
The only reason I would class change is all the achievements my main has. And that could be done also by making achievements account wide.

Based on the expense of each upgrade, this would be very expensive. Though if they offer it and people want to buy it, so be it.

Maybe a mount training scroll, available for gold that does all 60 points on of the skills. Should cost at least 15000 gold (250 x 60), maybe a bit more. Pay extra for the convenience. That way old players making new characters could get their mount speed up.

Aside from the juvenile personal attacks this has been illuminating. I have to thank the people who chose "Other" and took the time to explain themselves. I did think most people who want a class change, considering ZOS says we aren't getting one, (which disappoints me greatly as well) might find this an acceptable alternative. But the responses here have shown the issue is really about 2 different things for the most part:

    1. Achievements
    2. Mount training

For me, personally, it's really about #2. I only go after achievements that grant me something I want, like dyes and furnishings, even as I resent that dyes are tied to the achievement system at all. But I can understand both the emotional and practical desires to have achievements be account wide. Knowing this, I may make a new poll, just to see what the results are.

I can understand to an extent wanting Class Change tokens for people who want to swap their mains to a new Class, but in any other game you play, you have to earn everything you've done all over again on each new save file/character you play. And I don't mean games where after you beat the game you can play through with all your stuff still in your inventory and all that, like RE4. I mean starting over again 100% from scratch.

Is it frustrating to have to redo certain things like mount training and Skyshard collecting every time you make a new character? Very much so, for a lot of people (though there are people who find it fun, yes, and people who don't care either way; none of these opinions is wrong, but no one can deny that a lot of people loathe this aspect of new characters). But the simple fact is you can't expect to make a new character and then immediately unlock most, if not all, of the game's content on them just because you already did that on another character.

The only thing I really think should be account-wide in all this stuff (and I'm talking about stuff that isn't already account-wide mind you) is achievements, and even that can get tricky. I'd personally just be happy if achievements tied to furnishing items could be 'shared' with your account so that you can buy them on any character rather than having to do everything on one specific person. And even then it wouldn't have to be actual account-wide stuff, it could just be a check the system does to see if any other characters have earned the necessary achievement.

I'll be interested to hear from those who want a class change token since 90% of those people I've seen speak of it want it for exactly the things I state in the poll: Not wanting to have to grind through every single little thing they've already done, in some cases, ten or more times before. Compared to all the things one COULD ask for that many of our max level characters have, it's fairly minor. Personally, I'd be happy with JUST the full mount training because that "system" is absolutely terrible to begin with.

You just need to be a procrastinator like me. My toons get fully upgraded mounts before they get the ability to weapon swap, without using the crown store.

LOL That's some pretty epic procrastination! And no, I would never buy a mount training scroll either. That's just rewarding ZOS for punishing us. Of all the things they sell in the cash shop, that one might irritate me the most because it's such an obvious ploy.

I love all you people who don't read. I enjoy questing and playing the game. I don't enjoy the way my slow-arsed horse makes me want to bash my head on my keyboard for literal months. That makes actually playing the game unenjoyable. I'm among those who would like a class change because I have an army of Sorcs I really don't need, some of whom I would LOVE to be necromancers, and now they just feel more wasted than ever. But since they have fully trained mounts, no way am I deleting them! LOL
