Since Summerset, we have 4 great PVE sets (Relequen, Siroria, Spell Strategist, Olorime), additional PVP sets like Bright Throat, and dungeon gear from Black Rose Prison. Thing is, none of these sets replaced anything, so there was no reason to get rid of the old gear. For example, VO was somewhat replaced by Relequen for group content. Except, stam players still use VO for things like vMA, vBRP, and vDSA. So no spaces were cleared out.

I get what you mean... Its like Spell Power Cure and Olorime.... Yes, most players prefer to equip Olorime but we still keep SPC in our bags.

Either make more mules, organise and sell off that junk you don't need, or get ESO+.
Some of us use all of our toons regularly, so they can't be used as bank space.
On another note, the game has grown and the number of sets needed has grown (my PvE healer barely has any extra inventory with the 1237458746587 sets she has to carry around). It's time to expand our inventory/bank spaces to compensate for that growth.

Out of interest as a non-hoarder, why when you get loads of new sets with the additional content do you feel obliged to hang on to all the old sets?
Given that each character can only wear one set at a time, and allowing for a finite number of different roles necessitating changes of set, why has the number of sets needed grown? The number of roles hasn't grown, has it? Surely for each role there is an optimum set, and as a new one comes out that is better than the old one then the old one can be deconstructed?

No, there is an optimum set up for each piece of content (way more effective than a one size fits all set up), and we have a LOT of new content, which I run repeatedly for scores or just for the challenge. So each toon now has multiple sets needed to be able to switch depending on the content. Farming end game gear with the appropriate traits is not easy, so it would be extremely inefficient to destroy gear after every run.

(I'm not a hoarder and have a lot of free space)
If you have lots of space why do you need more storage ?I get you said 'better organize' but you would end up with many quarter filled chests, no ?
I am not a fan of housing. I literally have a banker, merchant and 4 chests in my house ;-)
You can label chests. I assume they want chests limited to certain contents for quick and easy retrieval.
@richo262
Bit dramatic... from your last paragraph, I think it was more than just trash drops that was your friend's problem.
You can buy bank and pack upgrades in the game. Bank upgrades from the banker UI, pack from the pack merchant. Increasing your mount carry weight increases your inventory space. You can purchase storage boxes... you get a storage box as level reward.
You don't need every piece of crap you pick up. First time levelling (i.e. your first char), there is a need for those bits and pieces, after you hit CP160 and have or are maxing your crafts, then it's all redundant.
Inventory management is a big thing, but there are options -- exactly the options players are asking for in this thread.
Replying to get the topic back to the front - I wanna see more ideas as I believe the topic is interesting.
