Switch to PC

So I have an account on PC but I mainly play on PS4, is it worth switching if I will still only play with a controller?

Or will I be so disadvantaged that it's not worth losing progression on console?

I swapped just fine, I highly suggest making the change over to PC!

    Yes.

I swapped from Xbox to PC and still use a controller for combat (but mouse and keyboard when I'm in cities for the better UI).

    Very worth it. :)

I was max cp on xbox had most things via in game gear and bought some crown stuff. It was hard at first to imagine leaving everything. But the quality of life on pc eventually will make up for it. I have been on PC for almost a year and i still don't regret it.

lol wonderful how things are like that huh? Amazing how zos treats console.

Ya OP, its worth the switch. Zos wont do much for this game and they wont do anything for console. If you are a pvp player its definitely worth it. But I almost feel like, at this point, I'd rather play something else instead of paying zos to restart from one *** server to another less *** server.

The fact that we arent able to move console accounts to PC, given the state of console, is disgraceful.

Welcome to the land of the pc master race.

For a so-called "master race," y'all come across as pretty insecure.

My mantra has, and always shall be, play on whatever system you're comfortable with, be it PC or console (or both, if you *really* like ESO).

Yes worth the switch except that you have to start from scratch. The addons help to get everything done faster though - skyshards, quest markers etc. I've done it but still prefer to play on PS4 after getting both PC/NA & PC/EU past CP160.

You can use the DS4 controller from PS4 also, at least on Steam where you can setup button configs (touchpad left/right to mount/map).

I can't do it. It took me over a year to get to CP 810. Plus all the mats, motifs, gear skills on three different characters. Both stam and mag? Naw. I'm good. I'll stay on Xbox NA with all its worts. Don't get me wrong. I would love to move to PC NA. But I won't do it at the expense of losing everything and having to grind another year and a half to be back where I'm at now.

I’ve started tossing up the same conundrum OP. I love PlayStation, I’ve had them all from PS1 all the way to PS4, played all of the classics and loved every minute of it. But PC gaming is becoming harder to resist as I get older, I’m 31 now, plus a lot of my long time gaming friends are slowly making the switch over the years.

I’m at the stage now where I don’t want to get the PS5 and just save up for a decent gaming rig that can play Scrolls to a half decent standard. But I’ve got nearly 1100 CP on PS4. Got a master crafter with almost every motif in the game. I’ve got just about every PvE achievement in the game, solo and group play. It’s a hard decision on whether or not to throw it all away and start again.

I wish ZOS would figure out a way to let us transfer accounts again, then the decision becomes 100 times easier for me.

    Please figure it out ZOS.

I don't care about items but if ZOS worked out how to transfer characters with just the level and achievements to PC I would jump at the chance. If this was 2-3 years ago I would just fresh start but starting a fresh in a aging game with so many new games on the horizon. I can't do that.

ZOS please work on transfers from console to PC.

Hahahaha I think I ran into you not to long ago on xbox.. I have been debating on playing on pc as well as xbox for awhile now, but i have hardly the time to play on xbox let alone grind new characters out.. for now I think I will just mess around in eso as I have the vanilla game!!

XB1 1200+ cp multiple former emps, 15 maxed toons to include undaunted and the guilds..

Just say no to a PC, do it on a Mac! Then you can just plug your ps4 controller into the Mac and away you go. I actually just added a Razer Tartaus V2 keypad to work in conjunction with my ps4 controller.
Regarded I could build a much more powerful PC for the same money as my Mac but the Mac doesn't need to be updated every other day. LOL Ok, so if I had the money I would have both!
    The new Xbox sounds cool.

The controller vs kb/m is mainly for shooters, i only use kb/m in shooters but i use both in mmo‘s or rpg‘s are strictly controllers..

Oops my point is you’ll be fine with better gameplay overall (well depends on the pc)

Prefer playing on PS4 and my 55 inch TV and the game is more immersive and better PVP in my view but I haven't been back on PC since PS4 launch and was in early access / open beta for PC. Game was designed for console in my view but if PS4 version dies then I will go to PC. It also depends on what games you play. Diablo 2 was the only PC game I played and I don't have a working PC or PVP on that anymore but loved it. I would need to hook up my PC to a large TV to have such a good ESO experience on PC compared to PS4. ESO is the best game for a giant TV and I have dropped probably a thousand dollars on ESO and is well worth it in my view. Off topic slightly but ya. Good entertainment / immersion.

In pvp you have a quite massive disadvantage with the controller, people rolling around you like crazy and you cannot target since the camera movement with controller are super slow (i don't have find a solution till now...).
Other than that is just fine, even AC can be done really well with the controller.

I'm the rare breed who moved from pc to ps4. And now I'm thinking if I should go back on PC. Last I played on pc was two years ago and the character is 500 cp only now. Sigh too much work. Plus whose going to buy all those crowns and eso plus and what not.

    Yes.

Made the switch last week -- no regrets. Friday night is still trial night on the Xbox with my maxed char, but I have daily fun with my PC character, rediscovering some of the magic lost when you max your first char, and exploring old haunts as if they were new.

QoL is certainly worth it. Less input lag, better/smoother visuals, less choppy frame rates, weaving is much easier (honestly, if you're coming from XBox, you're at an advantage because you learnt to weave in atrocious conditions with horrible input responsiveness -- PC is much more fluid). Menus are nicer and have a more accessible layout -- but you can have the console UI back as an option if using gamepad. All overland stuff, I'm KB+M, but for dungeons -- -- the controller comes out, for comfort.

    edit
I reclaimed my beta account and got a cool monkey pet - - shame I can't merge accounts, but it is what it is.

Also found a use for all those low level crafting mats now.
