Amaya Lake Lodge question

While touring a Amaya Lake Lodge house, I noted a Tall Planter (something with dirt!!!!). I investigated and was told it came from this house (like the bed of coals, a house item only found when buying a house). Researching I found the house had several such items and yet, on a preview of a house as I mulled over buying it, I noticed none of those items were in there. What gives?
And why or why are unique items like a planter and a bed of coals not available for sale?

Hey everyone, wanted to touch on the issues mentioned in this thread.

First, the planter. This was actually never supposed to go live in the house where it was placed, which is why console players don't even have the planter to begin with; it was only seen on PC. This was a very nice planter, though, so we're figuring out a way to provide the planter as a furnishing for those that previously had it. Details to come as we're still working everything out, but expect to have this back one way or another.

As for Red Mountain, this was never viewable from the home and wasn't a change that was recently made. We'll see if we're able to add this to the distance, but there are a lot of variables that go into what can be viewed from homes.

That was July 2017. I guess they're still working on it?

I wasn't even aware of that planter existing at all, any news about this, @ZOS_GinaBruno ?

Edit: Forgot to link the thread, here it is if you want to read it: https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/359147/upcoming-nerf-to-amaya-lake-lodge/p1

it's funny they made a point of saying they were adding items found only in houses to the crown store, but darned if I know what they added, surely not the things I was including in my prayers every night :)

Yes, I'd also love to have several copies of the coals that came with my dunmer home, or be able to purchase/craft the Sillar Stone structures that the Ald Velothi Harbor House comes with. But I can't recall any of them being made available (crown store, praxis, writ merchant, nothing) either, so not sure if they abandoned that idea altogether.

I guess they stopped adding house-exclusive furnitue in their newer DLCs (can't recall any in Murkmire, and the Summerset house's fireplace is thankfully craftable) but still haven't added older items to the crown store for some reason  It's been almost two years  Plus, there are some items like the snowy fir trees that came with the Snowglobe home that can't be bought either iirc... I have no idea why.

The Snowy firs are available in the Crown Store that is accessed from the housing editor. There are two types. I've used them to decorate my Autumn's-Gate Christmas house.

Oh, are they? Don't think they were when I checked, must've added them in a recent update. In any case, good to know thanks!

One is called Tree, Snowy Fir and the other Tree, Tall Snowy Fir.

I remember when all this transpired. What actually seemed to happen is this:

They allowed people who bought the house before the change to keep the planter. They never added *any* of the furnishings they said they would to eliminate unique furnishings obtained only through buying certain homes.

New houses now have no unique furnishings, and if they do add new furnishings for a home, they are added to the crown shop as well.

I am sure someone more thorough than I can list them all, but the Vvardenfell houses have the most items like this. The paving stones, well, and shed from Ald Velothi, as well as the aforementioned planter, and a different shed from Amaya Lake Lodge. As far as I know, *no* previously existing unique furnishings were made available in any fashion since they promised they would do so.
Would be nice to get some kind of response about this, even years later. @ZOS_GinaBruno

Correct, the planter was only available to those that had purchased Amaya Lake Lodge before it was removed. They made it a furnishing exclusively for those players, so PC only.

I believe the bed of coals from some of the Dunmer homes is now available to purchase in the housing editor. I recall seeing something like that mentioned somewhere on the forums. I don't peruse the Housing Editor store all that often, so I'm not sure if that's the case.

The other unique items from the Vvardenfell homes are not available to purchase in the Housing Editor. Not sure why, really, since I'm sure they'd sell a bunch of them.
