Could the login timeout on char select screen be longer please?

Look I get it in a perfect world we'd all have solid state drives for instant loading and multiple monitors so that we could do other things on the other screen while waiting to load without alt tabbing, but reality is not everyone has those. I can't stand just staring at loading screens when logging in, I alt tab, I might be out of the game window for a few minutes to look at forums or social media or the news or something, then when I alt tab back in I find myself kicked back to the login screen having to go through the whole process again as if ZOS really expects you to just stare at the friggin swirly wheel until the char select screen loads. You can alt tab out once you're in game on a character for like 15 minutes, why is the timer so short on the char select screen? I think it's like 2 minutes. It's obnoxious and terrible QOL.

The really annoying thing is getting timed out while creating a character.

I sure do love losing all the progress on the character I've been editing for a good while

I think the character creation settings are saved at least? But yeah that's a real pain too.. try to come up with something nice and custom and freeze ad trying to find a name that's not taken and bam disconnected.

Yeah worst part is getting perfect character but not haven't name or it already taken.

It used to be you could stay in character select indefinitely, but they changed it because I guess it was causing login issues? I don't think there was ever a time where there was an actual queue to get into the game except maybe here and there briefly after the servers came up from a crash, or maybe back when the game first launched, so I don't know why they decided that putting a timer on character select was needed. It's not like people were causing a backlog of others trying to log in but not being able to because the server was 'full' or something.

i don't mind waiting a little while, but you can tell that sometimes you are just not going to get in not matter how long you wait so you wait 1-3 minutes (which is how long it usually takes which is already terrible) and have to restart the game, and then you repeat the process until it actually works. before you know it 20 mins has gone by before you are finally in. That is what is annoying.
