Let's take a trip down nostalgia lane. What is something you miss (can be anything) that used to be in the game, but no longer is or has been heavily modified from what it originally was?

For me it would be the Exploration armor trait. I miss throwing on a set of Exploration gear and mindlessly zigzagging across zones trying to find all of the locations.

    The Coldharbor tutorial.

For all that the new tutorials throw players into the new content faster, the old Coldharbor tutorial did a far superior job of introducing the main conflict, all the major characters, gameplay mechanics like skyshards, and explaining our position in the world as the Vestige.

More recently gone, but I miss bound armor visual being a toggle you could have on persistently. It's such a cool visual but now it lasts all of 3 seconds on activation. :(

I miss levelled zones. 1T did some good and probably saved the game but I liked the danger of going to a zone before you were the right level.

The flame nimbus that DK's used to have with Inferno slotted/toggled. Losing it really damaged the look and feel of one of my favourite RP characters. I would dearly love to have it back.

The feeling when I was level 16 and the mudcrabs could easily chop my arms off in Malabal Tor coast. (they were I think level 34) And when farming in Craglorn was requiring me to sneak because mobs were really dangerous. (I think the most dangerous mobs were some sort of Illusionists?)

I miss my toggleable bound armaments. The purple smoke around my character was something I needed to take into consideration when applying dyes to my armor.

If I recall correctly, we had the Earthforge and Eyevea wayshrines on the map back in the day. We didn't need to go trough portals to get there.

I'm definitely clouded by nostalgia here, but some part of me misses the veteran zones. Don't get me wrong, the way things are is much better, and it promotes a lot more traffic going through each zone, I just have a personal attachment because of how challenging the zones used to be. I marathoned through them with my friend back in the very early days of this game, and it was a real ordeal and an experience I don't think I'll ever get again in this game.

The old beta coldharbour tutorial. There was one part with some scaffolding which really impressed me when I run over it.
Also they didn't lock you in place (holding your hand) when you needed to do something. It was mentioned what you COULD do. But you had freedom to do otherwise.

"I am a nightblade. Blending the disciplines of the stealthy agent and subtle wizard, I move unseen and undetected, foil locks and traps, and teleport to safety when threatened, or strike like a viper from ambush. The College of Illusion hides me and fuddles or pacifies my opponents. The College of Mysticism detects my object, reflects and dispels enemy spells, and makes good my escape. The key to a nightblade's success is avoidance, by spell or by stealth; with these skills, all things are possible."

When I was new I cried when they changed the vampire skill Drain Essence. It used to restore stam. I miss running around draining the life out of players and then spamming steel tornado for the win. :)

Not sure what changes have been made to Dizzy Swing but I miss the old Dizzy Swing. I remember someone in my pvp guild say, "Did i just see you Dizzy swing that guy all the way down the hill' :) It was the only skill I ever used on 2H :)

1T should have been configured to let players go anywhere, but it ought to have kept the danger levels of the higher areas just as they were.

Being able to convert (almost) any piece to Imperial or Morag Tong style anywhere.

Free outfit styles are not the same, I used that a lot to hide ugly pieces or huge shoulders I got as drops. Now the only option is to switch to an outfit, which either means changing all your armour or devoting an outfit slot just to the few pieces I don't like.

I was the opposite. Think I was EP (I changed platforms just before 1T) and thinking back, I could never imagine the likes of Wayrest, ER etc deserted again. I think I seen one other person during my time in gold. It was a chore and one I'm surprised I stuck with. Not a good look for any mmo imo. Gold all but killed my enjoyment of the game and I rarely group. But I still like populated hubs. otherwise I'm better sticking to the likes of Skyrim.

    Exploration trait was good...

I was in a guild that had a communal set of gold level 1 exploration armor--nonset, so it wouldn't get bound on equip and we could leave it in the guild bank.

Make a new alt, throw that armor on, travel to every guildy in your trade guilds to unlock wayshrines, and pick up 10 levels along the way!

Vet levels. There, I said it.

At least balancing and things might be less of an issue with static levelling instead of the Champion Points creep, which causes a lot of issues, a heavy load on server calculations amongst other things.
