Fighting against Cyrodiil zergs is more tolerable than fighting premades, cowards, and cancer builds in BG.

i just dont get why people disagree when the best players use tank builds. dottz is pretty good not just builds wise but he also have alot of skill and when this guy tells u in for example his stam nb build video to scrap cloak and go all tanky u better believe in the meta.

This game will sooner or later be killed by metas thats for sure.
One of the reasons is that , despite other MMOs having a "meta build"
ESO is the only one that every current meta is totaly against simple principles of
    MMO style fighting.

    A wrecking havoc WWolf meta
A tanky meta that can do everything , take damage /heal/ dps
A non skill , just proc meta
    ...
we had them all and they still dominate pvp
Well done @ZOS nice game you created there.

A perspective from one of the highest mmr players eu: in the day time when most people closer to my mmr online (which is probably a group of around 40 players, everyone knows everyone) the games are very fair and balanced. I've played against both med and light players who are greatly skilled. But late at night when matchmaking from starts picking players from "Elo hell " it is quite apparent to me that the vast majority don't even wear impen. I have also asked several players if they would like help, ironically the only ones who accepted it are already ten folds better than the pve kids. So ignorance is your biggest killer, and I'll keep raking in the free ap because of it. (Sorry on mobile)

I don't know why anyone would think walking into pvp with only pve damaging skills and 0 utility should work well. My usual group is in light armor and none of us even use protective on jewelry, just impen traits. It's how you play and the utility you bring. Being "tanky" doesn't always mean walking around in all heavy. Just don't expect to have an easy time if you don't even slot any self sustain.

Ahhh the favourite subject on these forums, Complaining about heavy armor meta without understanding what is causing it.

The "tank meta" exists because burst damage is extremely high, mainly because of glass cannons stamdens/stamblades being able to burst down everything that isn't a healer magplar wearing full inpen heavy standing on his Channeled Focus holding block. Glass cannons builds work and they're everywhere in BGs.

Start by nerfing stamblades/stamdens burst, tone down slows and snare a little bit and nerf Warrior's Fury. I can guarantee that you're going to see much more variety in builds then.

You can play a high dmg build, just more unforgiving and requires more individual skill than being tanky.

The tank meta exists because burst is really high and especially stam, while ZoS have nerfed tools that helped medium&light builds stay alive like mobility, evasion, heals, shields among other things. Who wants to play a build where you die to for example stamblades in matter of seconds? Why give them that enjoyment, if you can make a build that prevents it?

There's always going to be a meta going on based on developers route, than other builds to counter the meta. People will find it cancerous. But sadly don't think it's possible to balance the game is such a way, that all builds are equally viable.
