No. Maintenance actually doesn't improve anything. It's just there that things don't get worse, at least in ESO.

For me, it's not worse. It's also not better. Over satellite, it's not going to vary much.

Tbh lads apart from Cyrodiil when 2 zergs rock up at prime time in my immediate area I usually do ok with latency 260ms from Brisbane AU.

Open the ports off the help article on your router
Try Mudfish out shaved an easy 50/70 ms off my Ping and I havent server desync'd (where everyone freezes but you can run around for 10 minutes or so) since.

Prior to Mudfish I would say latency creeps up an avg of 15/20ms every year this game is out from AU =( at least it feels that way.

I seem to be spending more time in loading screens and I've been seeing more rubber banding in cities. I can't say for sure that it is related to maintenance but the timing is suspicious.

Load times feel like they are loading up faster, now on Na. But I'm not sure about the performance. Faster loading times is good though as it sometimes takes a while for log in.

I’ve had a creep with Mudfish over the past few months. Was playing at a great 260-270 and now I’m at 290-310 again. I’ve never tried the port forwarding with this game, maybe I’ll give that a shot although I don’t get booted much at all.

    Dont notice any difference.
Playing smoothly, then lag spike, then dc.
Rinse repeat. I live in asia so i just assume its normal behaviour.

    @Vapirko

Just delete ESO and add it in again (MUDFISH NOT YOUR PC LOL) Im guessing something had changed because I noticed it too but after resetting it back to smooth sailing.

Are u playing on eu or us server? I am in Brissie, eu server, and my ping is 380+ on good days. When my current vpn sub end, I will try mudfish.

Personally, I feel that, in cyro anyway, there is some improvement. I don't feel like I am running on sand anymore where every thing is draggy and near slow mo.

Worse. Now I not only have occasional ping spikes, but also have sudden drop of dps from time to time, like 10 FPS in an emtpy delve.

And before you ask, yes my PC hardware is more than enough to run this game.

Jokes on you OP. Nope, I don't feel any difference in performance after maintenance. Usually I'm somewhere around 130-150 ms, but when in heavy loaded fights it raises to 300-400 ms and feels like 2k ms. From time to time I'm loosing some packets but what is strange my VPN or any 3rd party software doesn't record it just windows ping caches it, so I can't determine the node causing the problem.
I'm done with this game because of ZOS pushing us into Vengeance, because they don't know how to fix Cyrodiil.

Yes and no. Better performance numbers but longer load screens & horrible bank access. Also now been having dc when switching characters.

I don't think it's fair to judge it right now when we're in the middle of an event. Once it's over and things calm down, then we can truly compare it to the norm.

Server are fine for me most of the times since last update except when DC hordes and cheaters comes on with their lag switches. Complain them won't do anything anyway. Sometimes skills won't fire it's my issue now.

Loading screens are quite long and often never end. This occurs often when I'm logging on to the game or switching characters. Towns are still very laggy and take a while to load. Going to pick up or turn in pledges is a chore. Why I wish we had more options on where to pick up or turn in.

Yesterday I went to cyrodill to pvp a bit and it was fine until we took a keep and I was stuck in combat. I hung around for 10 minutes or so then decided to go out and maybe find something to kill me so I could actually port somewhere.
So I walk outside the keep and get hit with 2 Snipes. So I'm like yes a ganker kill me please. But when the cc ended nothing else happened and I was out of combat. Weirdness
