They had to deal with the full brunt of the pain last week. It's now our turn.

I think we are getting the server updates EU got last week. They also had a very long maintenance last week.

Just a tidy bit to add; Since the "maintenance" on the EU servers, the game has been so laggy a great deal of EU players escaped to NA. It was bad before maintenance, after up to today it has been futile to attempt any serious play. Let us pray the NA servers doesnt experience anything remotely similar.

Wait, EU is up? Why is the patcher telling me it is down, then?

Because they are different servers and there is no reason to expect that the same maintenance is always happen on each server/cluster.

When the EU servers had a super long maintenance period and then filled the forums with threads about problems and horrible performance, I'm sitting here on NA looking at this long maintenance like:

My guess this is the result of all the EU folks complaining about their post patch performance issues. Since they frequently reference NA as no having a problem this is the ZOS fix to drag NA down as well. Then we will all be equal. ;)

Last week was not an Event. Zos needs to reframe from doing these things during Events.

Really... EU maintenances have notoriously been more recurrent and lasted longer than NA. I play mostly on NA but I'm happy EU folks for once could play well within their prime time on a maintenance day.

Since the last EU update, the performance is AWFUL. ZoS doesn't communicate about it. Nothing happens.

You're gonna be soooo happy NA players. Your turn now.

Well, we could have if we'd known the server was up. I lost five hours because the message said both NA and EU were still shut down for maintenance.

That's too bad--for me the message in the forum banner changed around 12:20 UTC, it has been up since then.

As long as what they're doing helps server performance. I mean it actually made the EU server worse so I am a bit concerned TBH.
