How much do the racial changes affect you?

With the major overhaul of racial passives, as well as the fact that we only get to change 3 races for free, how much do these changes affect you as a player? There are many players out there with 8 to 15 filled character slots who likely now have to consider purchasing tokens to make up for the changes, or will be forced into leveling a whole new character to replace the old one. A select few passives were removed entirely, such as the 10% stealth damage for Khajiit and Wood Elves, 7% flame damage for Dark Elves, and 6% damage reduction for Nords. These can be detrimental for some players, as they likely chose that race specifically for one of those bonuses. So, how much do the racial changes affect you?

My wood elven wizards' racials gave them BiS for cute and no combat help except a bit better stam for block/roll. Nothing has changed.

As far as race change, are you kidding? I'd change games before changing from Bosmer.

Or just play a race that's 1 or 2% weaker.

I'm still not sure.

I have multipe altmer and bosmer - more than 3 - and I hate their new passives.

I don't mind altmer's max magicka being nerfed. I hate that race really matters in ESO so weaking passives is fine even if it weakens me. But I hate the regen resources thing on use of a class ability, with a cooldown.

Avoiding cooldowns is one of the reasons I play this game at all. The 99% of end-game "uber" sets which have those effects are literally trash to me. But now I'll have it as a racial. Ugh.

And some-inane-effect-on-dodging is one of the mechanics I hate most in any game. Dodging is dodging. It shouldn't shoot a bomb, arrow or poison rune out of my arse, or as it happens make me quicker. And now I'll have that as a racial.

Though I swing towards magicka and played my bosmer that way anway so even with their bizarre dodge racial, the nerfs to other races in the magicka department are effectively a buff to my bosmer. And their current racials don't really do anything useful for me. I probably haven't even bothered putting points in them and will just not bother with this new one.

But they also lost their stealth bonus so probably a net loss.

I have 8 max level characters and i honestly wouldn't mind even if we wouldn't get those 3 tokens. And no it's not because i have all Khajiits and Orcs as someone else accused me in another thread (i actually have only 1 kitty and 0 orcs), it's because the racial differences are barely noticable.

The balance is not perfect and 4.3.0 was way better than 4.3.2 but in the end vast majority of players won't even notice the differences. They just lose their minds on a few hundred magickas/staminas but there are only a bunch of players who will notice that small difference honestly.

I have many combinations of race and class. I'll be changing some of them using the tokens, but that's because I already want to change them since before all the coming changes anyway.

I understand you're point with resource changes. But like I said in the post, there are specific bonuses that players chose to favor, and now they've been removed as a whole, thus making their choice worthless. Khajiit and Wood Elf stealth builds for example will no longer be BiS, as Redguard is now the best choice thanks to the better resource management. It's just a big slap in the face when we've had the same passive bonuses for years.

I'm a Nord MagSorc since day 1(with a few weeks at a Stamsorc just to try it).

I don't know what they could do to Nords that would make me switch.
I have an Alt who is a High Elf Sorc but I still would rather play on my Nord Sorc.
It would be nice if they let you sell the Race change tokens tho

I play for fun, fun for me is casting a few spells completing quests and hanging out with cool people. I don't even know what the changes and I don't honestly care. The only reason I'm on the forums is because the server are down for the moment.

Some of my Khajiit are magic, they will see an 5-7% buff.
Recommend people do an parse now and after patch so you can check.
Note that it looks like we get an overall buff to so it might be a bit more.

Only a little; I was a little freaked out at first but I did the math on the changes for my characters and it's nothing that can't be fixed with a glyph or minor tweaks, it's not the end of the world.

All of my toons will get a slight buff, including my Altmer because I PvP and do need my off pool. I also had built around making use of Nords and Khajiits which are not optimal now but accented what they did well and some of that will change a bit but give me a different base to work around and not as much from a position of weakness.

So far I have two characters to play: Breton Sorcerer (DD) and Argonian Warden (Healer). Both seems to be alright at their current roles next patch. Though I find the change of racial passives quite interesting, personally I'd prefer to have a tree of racial passives, when you are able to choose between some options.
