Auction house and vendors
I know this has been hashed and rehashed over many times but why would it not be possible to create guild vendors? As opposed to auction houses where everyone can post and buy, vendors would only sell. Guild members would still only be able to post their wares via the guild store in the bank. the vendor is just an outlet for non guild members to purchase their wares.
I see it as every guild has the option of choosing one vendor only to place in a specific zone or area. Kind of like a marketplace tent or building with only guild vendors. these tents or buildings would have predetermined spaces for a vendor that the guild master only can place. this way it doesn't become a crowded mess of vendors. so yes only so many total vendors per building. They can also make it so the vendor claims a "salary" or has maintenance. providing that the guild cut on selling actually goes to the guild for maintenance.
these buildings or tents can be located in the major cities across the lands so all players that aren't in guilds can buy stuff from them. since some of the crafting guilds are multi-factional the only issue facing the guild is what faction to put their vendor in and that is already determined when the guild is created.
Being limited on where I can buy things has been bugging me. If I want to RP an adventurer who doesn't want to be part of a guild and is a loner I am somewhat forced into crafting which I may have no interest in, from a character standpoint.
as I said earlier I apologize for rehashing this but I had to get it out.
I feel better now.
