I gave a break to this game for some months and now that I'm back I decided to do some pledges. I have a DK tank that is 8xx CP and I need to do Crawled of Shadow for the monster set.

The thing is that all the teams I've been they were not able to go through the second boss. Ok they were CP 3xx but then I was in a team where everybody was 6xx so I thought, finally now we can do it.

But no... The damage was bad and also they didn't knew the mechanics, and even explaining them they were always being hit by the stupid area very easy to avoid and no one even took care to try to interrupt the boss when she teleports excepting me. And all this at least more than 3 times!!!

I leave the party saying: guys I don't know how you make it to CP 6xx. I was really disappointed and now I don't know what to think, if this was only a bad experience or is what the game became.

I remember in the old days being CP 3xx 4xx was still low but over the 500 would mean you are prepared. Now being 600 means you can be a boosted noob seems like.

Any conjectures?

On that boss, you need to use crushing shock.

Also pig life is hard, SSDD.

You can get to max CP by just questing and not doing dungeons. Not everybody does them, or normally they get carried.

So even CP800 doesn't mean automatically someone is good at a dungeon. I primarily PVP and haven't done all dungeons yet, although I play since EA. And I have done even less veteran dungeons.

But fair is fair... When I do go to the dungeon, I ask for mechanics or check YouTube.

"I am a nightblade. Blending the disciplines of the stealthy agent and subtle wizard, I move unseen and undetected, foil locks and traps, and teleport to safety when threatened, or strike like a viper from ambush. The College of Illusion hides me and fuddles or pacifies my opponents. The College of Mysticism detects my object, reflects and dispels enemy spells, and makes good my escape. The key to a nightblade's success is avoidance, by spell or by stealth; with these skills, all things are possible."

CP are not a measure of competence, they are a measure of play time.
Whether you spend your time progressing through vTrials or or doing all the quests and a few random normals in between, results in exactly the same CP numbers.

CP is not a good measuring stick for skill and knowledge. Especially when there are quite a few skyreach babies expecting to either breeze through vet content or be carried because they don't know anything.
Just don't lose hope. Not every high cp player is a skyreach baby. Some of us actually do play vet content and know what we're doing. ;)

Pugging a DLC dungeon is like a box of chocolates. You never now what you will get until you bit into one, especially if you are using GF. Except that most of time GF groups have a very bitter taste.

Seriously. We had a random in our group, melee stam build, that stated he did not have an interrupt. This was a high CP player and lacked a clue with such a very basic ability that I am pretty sure the initial tutorial teaches.

Mate CP has nothing at all to do with how good a player you are.

I have known a 700+ CP sorc that spammed liquid lightening. CP doesn't mean anything.

Sadly is like you say. I remember the old good days where been 300 CP would mean a kick out of the team because even if you would have the skills, you would not have the damage to do make it. I remember making teams with people over the 500 or 600 CP and rush dungeons like mazzatun and etc... Now with this new generation of millennials you can not even do a normal dungeon... Where this world going...
