Magika confusion/bug question!

Hello Fellow Gamers!

I've been laying around with specs of my vampire nightblade, checking out different skill and attribution mixes and ran into a problem.

When you spec into stamina, you regular weapon attack damage scales (for every physical weapon) and you can really feel it. When you spec into magika, you skill talents do change in damage but not all of them, or it looks like it to me, also the magical weapons seem to be completely unaffected by magika and their normal attack damage is not scaling.

Examples: Weapon
i placed 20 points in magika. when i use 2h sword, it does the same damage with normal attacks as it does with destruction staff. When i charge for big attack, it's the same.

Example 2: Ability (skill based talent)
I added 20 attribute points slowly one by one into Magika, after each i tested the damage. Looks like night blade ability (Strife) only scales with weapon damage and it's levels and absolutely unaffected by Magika. When on the other hand i use the life steal vampire skill, it actually scales with each point of magika spent, the damage and the life leech.

I wonder if any one else noticed that certain skills and weapons don't benefit correctly from magika/stamina?

Magical weapons such as staves (destro/resto staff) normal damage scales with stamina (weapon damage) and not magicka. Skills should still be magicka based.

Some skills will adjust with stamina or magicka...but it's hard to tell unless you test it out yourself. Also, some skills just won't benefit much from the increase in magicka or stamina, as their coefficients are just low, and there's no real way to tell if that is the case without testing them a bit.

Don't your skills scale with your character level as well? The default weapon hits would just be whatever damage is on your weapon + stamina modifier, I think (unless 'weapon damage' goes up naturally via character level as well).

Hmm, this cleared the picture a little, however it's obvious that normal weapon attacks are simply useless for magika users and basically all their damage comes from the magika pool and abilities that work off it. Strange thought that not all abilities that cost magika and do magic damage scale off magika. Even worse, there is no way to tell which ability scales off magika, or off stamina.
