Sorry for the random BG and Cyro groups that I've been screwing up your score and dying a lot. I suck at PvP. I don't even want to play PvP.

However, I need transmutes, and ZoS has decided that I must PvP to get them, so you can please send them a big thank you for forcing me to join you and forcing both of us to have a bad time.

    Its ok. Everyone started somewhere. Adapt as you progress, check out what is working and what is not. And you will become better with time :smile:
    PvP isnt as scary as some people try to convice everyone. Best way for start is probably is Cyrodill, joining big group, see what other players are doing and then try to do emulate it.

    I did make some gear for PvP, but I just have poor situational awareness and I still can't for the life of me figure out how you guys can predict every move someones about to make and counter it in the fractions of a second before I execute it.

    I do better in Cyro where I can take a more defensive/support role - I'm pretty good at sniping people from the walls. BGs are a mess for me.

    Mostly I'm just bitter about the whole transmute system and I wish I could just buy transmutes with money, or in game currency or anything. Or increase the drop rate (by a lot). Anything. There's so much gear I want to try but it takes me months to get enough for one 5pc set.

    You can get them from ap in general. From those rewards of the worthy boxes, I'm at the limit so I just delete those since I've not really used the transmute system and I'm at the limit. Waste of inventory space.

    Do some dungeons. You can easily farm transmute crystals from base game vet; honestly do vBC of vFG both are 5 minute dungeons, do HM and bag like 12-20 in an hour (want more: vet DLC dungeon bosses are guaranteed drop). If you struggle with that, try running through your Pledges, and doing the odd random in between.

    This, the last guy I encountered who said he was new to PVP, I took the 45 seconds of pre-match to explain that:

    - Eat Food/Drink, it helps A TON.
    - Stick with the team, strength in numbers and all.
    - Make sure to wear Impen gear.
    - Everyone has access to some sort of self heal, make sure to have at least one slotted.
    - And of course, have fun!

    I thought you only got the geodes from pledges? Do they drop in vet dungeons even if it's not a pledge? I've never tried to solo vet, but might be fun to try. What is HM?

    I don’t BG much but doesn’t the Ranking system basically keep “under skilled” players vs other “under skilled”?

      If you have the wherewithal to play the long game, the best way to get transmute crystals is to farm 25K AP, each, on multiple characters in one of the 30-day campaigns. By the end of the campaign each character will receive a geode worth 50 crystals, e.g. one transmutation. These geodes can be kept in your inventory until you need them, so they don't suffer from the "can only keep 200 crystals" problem. Best to open the reward mails on a mule, so the mule keeps the geodes until needed, as they cannot be banked.

      I do play BG all the time and I too never mind if someone is new/trying - and yeah pop on your fave impen and come on!

      this. Because people that dont like the challenge in high mmr reroll to club babies...
