Quick Q on pen and shields....

With the shield changes in Murkmire, does penetration now affect shields like Hardened Ward, since the shields now have resistances applied? Or does pen not affect shields and spell/weapon damage and crits the way to get through them?

I believe it still doesn’t effect shields like sharpened doesn’t effect shields still but I could be wrong

Your shields now behave the same way your health does. So yeah, debuffs like major/minor fracture. Penetration. Crits. Status effects. Everything.

Oblivion dmg still passes through shields and hits your max hp - I think

Bleeds ignore resists, but still have to get through shields.

Shields effectively just increase your max health.
