Hello all I'm looking for a little bit of advice. I have just returned to eso after a while away and am lost with the staggering amount of choices available for characters, and have no clue about what I want to play. I have 8 chars but no idea which one I want to play as a main, again mostly due to how many choices are given in game with regards to how to "Build" a character. So my questions are as follows.
1.) How "good" are the skill advisor's choices?
2.) What would be a decent class to run duo'd with a stamblade?
3.)I'm willing to cut my chars list a little, but should I aim to have one of each class, or would it be better to play a class to max before trying something new?
4.) Any other advice?
My char list is as follows
1.) 27 Kahjiit NB
2.)10 Bosmer DK
3.) 9 Bosmer Warden
4.) 8 Altmer Sorcerer
5.) 4 Dunmer NB
6.) 7 Nord DK
7.) 12 Redguard NB
8.) 6 Bosmer NB
All but two of these chars are AD the DK Nord is EP and the Redguard is DC so any advice is very appreciated thanks.

    1.) No
2.) Another Nightblade probably (If we're talking pvp here)
3.) Better max out a char first, remember that you can have a total of 15 characters currently (crownstore). I would make 2 of each class (stam and mag) and tanks/healers
4.) Plenty, but you need to ask more specific questions
    Characters worth mentioning:
    Daedrós - Magicka DK - Altmer - PvE & PvP - Emperor - IR - GH - TTT
Dragybor - Stamblade - Redguard - PvE (first char)
Yondaime Raikage - Stamsorc - Redguard - PvP
Zerg Overmind - Magblade - Altmer - PvE - GH
Yenari - Magsorc - Altmer - PvE - Flawless Conqueror
    Devoured-his-siblings - DK Tank - Argonian - PvE - Unchained
Valkyrja Valhalla - StamDK - Redguard - PvE
Hyperion der Obere - Magplar - Altmer - PvE
    Affa al'Dschinni - Stamplar - Orc - PvP
    Enjoys-the-slaughter - Templar Healer - Argonian - PvE
Hades Adamastos - Stamcro - Orc - PvE
Khaba the Cruel - Magsorc- Altmer - PvP
Hekate Ourania - Magcro - Atlmer - PvE - TTT
    Arenas: vDSA (~46k) - vMA (~586k)
    Trials: vAA hm - vHRC hm - vSO hm - vMoL hm (~161k) - vHoF hm (~218k) - vAS+2 (~114k) - vCR+3 - vSS hm - vKA hm

Ok well I have my level 27 NB, so I'll probably use him for getting a maxed char also I'm mostly PvE right now but wouldn't mind learning PvP. Now onto my questions. How does one decide the merits of skills and abilities in the game? How do I decide what weapons to use and what class abilities and weapon abilities are useful any advice is helpful still very much a newb at this point.

Oh, so you just want to do PvE together with a mate, fine. Any classes will work here. Keep in mind that PvP and PvE are very different from each other.

For overland content and quests it doesn't really matter. Just read the tooltips and decide for yourself.

Once you reach cp 160 (the cap for gear) you can start to think about more challenging content (like dungeons, trials and arenas). That's where you would want to pick up guides and builds.

General advice for PvE Stamblade DDs:
    - medium armor, dual wield front bar, bow back bar

Google for AlcastHQ, he has some guides for new players on his website.
