I left my mouse at my girlfriend's place about 1k miles away, I need a new one now, anyone got any suggestions? I used to use the Razer Naga Hex v2, and I was looking at the Trinity but it has a lot of mixed reviews. So, any recommendations appreciated.

I’ve been using the Razer Trinity for about 7 months now and not had any problems. It’s pretty responsive and not had any issues with bindings. I think the Synapse 3 software used to be a bit flaky, but recent versions have been pretty stable.

If you want to try something non-Razer I’ve heard good things about the Corsair Scimitar Pro and the Titanwolf Gauntlet which are similar to the Naga

hmm yeah, I should maybe give the trinity a shot then. I really like the 7 button layout. Thanks!

I am onto the 2nd one of these... price suited me better at the time and then I just got used to it...
I just like having the extra buttons at the top next to the main ones, but might just be that I am odd like that...

    SteelSeries Rival 500..

I use this one because i don't need too many buttons and i'm not so skilled, but it is great to do quick things like crouch or use ultimate or skills that are in the number 5.

Hi, I'm also always on the lookout for a better mouse, to help my slow and aging bones with learning rotations. Currently I have a Logitech G502 Proteus Spectrum... it's not bad, but I feel the need for more buttons.
The SteelSeries seems nice, did you map all the buttons? How? The extra top buttons are really cool, yes!

I had a Razer Naga Chroma, but it died on me after about a year and a half.

I bought the Trust GXT 164 Sikanda mainly because I needed an MMO mouse with number buttons, but didn't want to spend too much. It has to fail me yet, I am very satisfied with that mouse. I am using i for about half a year now.

Comes with SteelSeries software, I also have one of their headsets and keyboards, I just like things to match...
You can set different layouts for different applications and games...

I probably did it wrong but I mapped a lot of things to the number pad and then made the mouse buttons correspond to the numpad buttons. I did it in a hurry when I got it and haven't bothered looking into it again.

I have abilities 1 and 5, quickslot, ulti, synergy and weapon swap on mouse buttons and break free on scroll up and roll dodge on scroll down. I could move more stuff but I like the 2 hand rhythm for spamables...

The scroll up, then down combo has been helpful in pvp for me...

Now that I think about it, I might look at streamlining things more this weekend...

It's a nice setup, you have everything at your disposal on your hand - at least the most important stuff.
Binding the mouse buttons to numbers seems the normal way to go, afaik: ESO doesn't recognize natively that many mouse buttons.
    One question:

When you roll Dodge with the mouse (or a single keypress), do you have to also move the mouse in the direction you want to Dodge to?

I use the Razer Naga Trinity. I would say if you liked the Hex, you will love it. One potential issue is that when sidepanels seems to stop working properly if you dont regularly use them or swap them. Cleaning the contacts and reinserting them fixes that. Also I prefer the FPS panel for some reason, nowa days.

I also thought about the Naga, how does it work with the 12 buttons? Are they too small? I've got sausage-shaped fingers and I'm worried I would click a bunch of them.

I've tried several different mice, from mmo with dozens of buttons to a pricey razor, but in my opinion they all don't compare to a cheap Chinese brick of metal and plastic that weighs 1/2 lb. All the expensive mice weigh next to nothing and cause my screen to shake while I hit the side buttons, but the brick of metal doesn't budge much. I'd recommend it if I didn't have suspicions over whether it came with an intellectual property sniffer trojan.

    Razer Naga Hex v2

Yes I know Hex is 6 but it has 7 buttons on the side so not overwhelming. You can have all your skills bount place ultimate and potion.

I use Razer Naga Chroma. Cant imagine not using it. First five ability, 6 bar swap, 7 use (interact), 8 ultimate, 9 mount, 10 potion (q), 11 sheath weapon, 12 champion points. Mousewheel left is inventory, mousewheel right is map, middle mouse synergy. I dont use wasd, but arrow keys. Sorry old skool :-)

I think the Razor mice are a scam. After owning a couple I decided to try the Logitech...and it performs quite a bit better in my opinion....and it only costs $35-45. It's not an mmo mouse, it only has seven programmable buttons, but that's two more than I use. (i'm using the logitech G502)

I'll never go back to razor mice. I can buy three Logitechs for the same price, and I like the Logitech better.

......and I like the logitech software interface A LOT better....it's not interrupting me for updated 3 times a week for no reason.

Logitech has an MMO gaming mouse with 12 programmable thumb buttons. It is pretty nice.

Back on subject, I ordered the trinity to give it a try. Thanks for all your recommendations but that 7 button circle layout is just too nice.

I like my Razer Naga Trinity mouse...but I despise the company. Mouse has a great feel to it and an ingenious implementation of button flexibility, but the idea that when installing the Synapse software for advance features you're required to create an online account is BS. Then it installs several services that run in the background to collect telemetry data to send back to Razer. Since the mouse stores it's button mappings in the firmware, by selectively disabling some of the installed services, there are ways to get around this though.

If you don't mind jumping though setup hoops and Razer snooping, it's a great mouse.

I love my Logitech with the twelve thumb buttons and the third button on the side for the ring finger (which I use to bar swap). But my overall, most important advice:

GO TO THE STORE AND TRY THEM OUT.

They all feel different in the hand. Some are canted, some are straight. Some will feel awful in your hand. You will be spending hundreds of hours with this mouse. Make sure you like it.
