Crows public dungeon is WAY WAY WAY overtuned (Ebonheart Pact)

Theres a quest guy at the end which you need to kill alone, is level 5 and will 4-5 shot a green geared level 10 with non itnerruptable, isntant ranged staff attacks, and to but has like 2k hp at lvl 5, impossible to do, please fix this quest...

If it's a public dungeon, it's tuned for a group intentionally.

"Public dungeons are open to everyone, even to the solo players, despite the fact that they are intended for bigger groups of players. Single player can enter dungeons and defeat some low level mobs, but every kill will be significant challenge."

It's a dungeon intended for groups. If you want to solo dungeons, prepare to go back at a much later level.

Actually there are two types of public dungeons in the game. There are the "soloable" public dungeons that are fairly small and have one boss in them, and there are the "group" public dungeons which usually require 2-3 people to complete them. Crow's Wood is one of those "group" dungeons where there is multiple mini-bosses sitting in the dungeon, and there is always one boss in there that, when you kill it, will give you a free skill point. So the dungeon isn't overtuned because it's purposefully made for at least 2 people to work together to complete.

Every zone has six public dungeons attached to them, and always one of them is one of the group ones. You can go and check your achievement page and look up and see which dungeons are the group ones so you aren't surprised when you go in there by yourself and are not able to complete some of it.

I've had multiple people in the room, in and out of my group, to help with killing either the witch or her and the sorcerer combined. It is a public dungeon, it really isn't meant to be solo'd (I wish they'd make the Daggerfall one a lot harder, in comparison).

Crow's Wood is actually one of the known group public dungeons. It may look like you're being instanced off by yourself when you go in, but it is not something you have to solo. The in-game terminology used for this group type of dungeon is actually "public dungeon" so if you see a dungeon labeled as such in game.. it's both open to other players, and going to have a lot more difficult mobs. Probably a good idea to be a little more polite to folks who are giving you the correct information and weren't really rude about it.

Isaw another guy enter the floor door of the tower and i entered rigtha fter and iw as alone, been waiting there for like 2 hours and none ever entered eventho the dungeon was busy so im pretty sure that part is isntanced

I did solo him, I mean (spoiler) he doesn't really die

You need to dodge his damage, always stay out of the red. Besides that, you don't need to do it alone, its a group dungeon so just fight with someone together.

We are referring to being in a group. Not waiting for a random to come along and kill it for you.

It isn't, but it could be phased if you chose a different option then them (remember there are 3 outcomes to that fight - kill her, kill him, kill both).

People dont really read... you cant avoid the isntant staff attack that hits like a truck and i saw one person enter ebfore me at the same time and she wasnt there when i entered, aswell never saw anybody down there..

That could be it i suppose.... still seems like a really bad design, quest isnt marked as group or anything.

Whats the easiest version?

There is no easy version. Group with people or if you go in solo coordinate with people ahead of time. Otherwise just don't bother.

Tried to eat buff food? Tried health potions? Tried to block the insta gib ability? Tried to kite? Tried to ask for help in the channel? Tried to find friends in game? Tried to use different skills in your bar? Tried to not give up too early? Tried to buckle up and level a bit and come back? Tried to find happiness in actually ACHIEVING things instead of having it on a silver plate? etc. etc.

Op is actually right, this is a poorly thought out public dungeon design.
The confusion in here comes from the fact that there seem to be at least two different instances to the lower level.

One where you fight him alone (siding with the Hag) and then the other one where they fight each other.
I was in a group with another (supremely non talkative $:\$ )guy before entering the lower instance and we both ended up in different instances it seems.
I was constantly seeing his icon hover in the air but he never showed up in the fight.

Yeah, my lvl10 2-hand DKnight got competently wiped by this boss on "alone mode". Will have to come back later to this LVL5 quest (!) in my 20 or 30ies.

Maybe by then I will also have figured out what this frikken crows horn is good for.

I really hope there aren´t similar forks in other public dungeons later on.
