Nightblade, shadowscales and whatnot.

I made a forum post about that ages ago, back when argonians were arguably the worst race in eso. I wanted Khajiit style passives but magic based for argonian, as it fit the shadowscale lore. Unfortunatly, the passives and lore just dont add up here other than the swim speed. You could certainly make a very viable argonian mageblade for PVP, but as a pure damage dealer, argonian is just not a great race.

But lorewise... stamina nightblades as "Shadowscales" would be just as fitting as magica wardens as "Treeminder"...
Sorcerors and templars... maybe a bit less so, neither the daedric princes nor the eight divines are all that big in argonian culture... those might be more for argonians that did not grow up in black marsh (which are plentiful as well)

I dont know a whole lot about argonians lore but it seems like many of them are mytic/ shaman a like. Personaly I think that mytic should had been the new class rather then a third pet user.
Also thanks to everyone Ill make a NB as I have already made an orc stam DK
Ah, but not every "spellcaster" or "battlemage" has to be a sorceror!Ydrisselle wrote: »There are very strong Argonian spellcasters in the ES lore, so I think sorcerer is also a good choice. The Argonian army which helped defeat the Akaviri before the Pact was born was led by three battlemages.

I was thinking maybe a warden tank? Well Id like to hear your opinions.

A "spellcaster" is generally any magica character.
And in TES history, a "Battlemage" was most often a hybrid magica/stamina character, sometimes in medium armor, sometimes in heavy armor that could wield both powerful destruction magic and melee weapons. Sometimes it was simply a destruction specialist; but in any case it was a spellcaster that specilized in destruction spells and general combat ability... and you can do that in many flavors.
And if you think of the many spellcasters in argonian scales... you will find way more nature themed shamans, treeminders, druids and such then arcane casters with their nose in the books and the occasional daedric contract to call upon, yes?
I mean, sure it works! As would an argonian templar praying to the divines (especially for those argonians grown up in other lands)
But not -quite- as "argonian-themed" as a hist-loving treehuggin shaman type character, yes?
