Why can't Wardens ride their bears?

Would they be able to ride them in combat and circumvent the rage inducing “you can’t mount in combat” mechanic... bear might actually be useful in open world PvP then

Those are combat bears.....you either train your bear to fight or to ride it...but not both. You might need to perform surgical intervention to develop one trait over the other...look at the Bull vs Steers and you can get an idea of what i'm talking about.

First they need to stop scaling down mounts and combat pets.

Also not many panserbjorn will allow you to ride them, you have to have a special friendship for that.

Speaking of which, they need to release the bear mount reskins as options for the wild guardian already.
