All items are ugly, i really dont like this reptile/maya aesthetic.

The good thing is that i didnt waist 1 crown on these crap.

Awful ugly apex and boring other stuff.

I grabbed 30 storm atrounach crates instead and not regretting.

Loved and totally would have purchased the housing trap items... but not when they’re ONLY Available in loot boxes. Wtf.

I thought only the Bright-Throat body paints were worth it, and maybe the radiant apex mounts. Otherwise, terrible season.

I like the guar though

They could have added some cool costumes / hairstyles for argonians, but instead we got 2 skins ( that look best on argonians) and 5 colours of the same paint. Overall I was not impressed with the items.

As mainly argonian player, this is something ive been looking for. tho the skins does not combind with the tattoos that comes with the crate. and i am certainly i have seen some of the argonians from murkmire with the skin + tattoos. Hopes its something they consider to fix.

Just a reminder: Apex mounts have a 'special' skill with visual effects.

When pressing jump on a stationary mount, the regular ones will do something basic (lions will roar, wolves will howl, etc), but apex mounts have their special animations. The Psijic mounts will do a burst of sparkles and leave a trail of magic behind them, the Storm Atro mounts will get a flash of lightning and trail lightning particles, etc.

So while the Xanmeer mounts can look a bit boring, their special animations covers them in hist sap and makes them glow yellow which actually looks good on their green scales! Now, I can understand if a lizard-camel covered in its own glowing yellow sap-spit isn't particularly your cup of tea, just saying that the mounts do improve a bit (But yeah, I didn't get any of the mounts this season even though I have the gems for it.)

I absolutely LOVED the mounts. Seriously, I was giggling over the Lizard-Senche ever since I saw it in Murkmire. I bought Crown Crates specifically to get enough gems to unlock it.

One thing I was disappointed in, however, was the lack of a true motif in the crates. I didn't like that at all. I always look forward to motifs.

For the apexes, it's the odd and ugly hist-sap burst effect they have when they first become visible that's the deal breaker for me. It makes them look simply awful. Had they been done more like natural beasts without the gaudy particle effects, they would have been ok.

Lol...and lizard horses and camels aren't lore-breaking? Granted, there is a lizard bear monster, so the lizard bear works ok. If they had created proper and unique lizard mounts, and not just put a lizard skin on a horse, it would have been much better.

No, this was by far the worst season and so I didn't care AT ALL that we didn't get any free crates. Wouldn't have wanted any of that crap in my collections, even if it was free. The only exceptions were the costumes, which I had purchased previously. I guess I wouldn't have minded getting any of the tattoos, though I would never use them. It is also a rip-off that they are just recolors of the same tattoo.

ETA: I forgot about the Hist Guar. I wouldn't have minded getting that, but it was previously in the Crown Store, so it's why it was better than the crap they created specifically for this season.

I agree that most crate mounts - with the exception of the Frostbane ones perhaps - tend to be lore-breaking (or at least, pushing what's possible in Tamriel on the verge of being gimmicky).

But lizard-like creatures similar to other animal types that are intertwined with Hist sap is still a lot more believable than a horse that randomly takes off my head, replaces it with a glowing pumpkin in my hand, then puts it back on as if nothing had happened. The whole concept of halloween pumpkins is lore-breaking in the first place, because at least the New Life festival attempted to justify itself with some ingame cultural celebrations, Hallowjack is just... Halloween. In Tamriel. With pumpkin-head-mounts.
So to me, the lizard doesn't stand out as one of the crazy ones That said, they (and most items from the Xanmeer season) are super boring and useless unless someone plays a hardcore Argonian or an obsessed swamp-delver that wants to ride a lizard covered in its own yellow spit.
