The Morrowind Celebration event. It's a guess because the start date hasn't been posted. Events usually start on Thursdays.

Oh man, there for a second I was like "the event is only two days lolwat" until I stopped being brain dead and remembered you'd mentioned that the full dates of the event itself hadn't been listed yet.

It's sort of weird there hasn't been any sort of news thing on the Morrowind event yet. Usually we get articles on events a fair amount of time before they start to get hype for them going, but if the Morrowind thing is starting next week that doesn't afford much time to get an article about it up and all.

Thursday 7th of Feb is a logical start date, although the Morrowind event might also start sooner, possibly even on January 31. Most of the special events start on a Thursday and end on a Monday morning (10am EST) after a week and a half. We can assume that the twitch streamer drops event (announced for Feb 8-10) will be covering only a small portion of the actual Morrowind event duration, because three days would be a ridiculously short celebration event, especially given that it is the first time for this zone.

They seriously need to ease up on the events. It's getting a bit overwhelming.

These are events that have been happening for a while now, though. They aren't just adding them willy-nilly to the game. Each zone DLC/chapter gets its own anniversary event, and then we have a few events that are lore-based Tamrielic holidays such as the Witches Festival and New Life. The more zone DLCs and chapters we get, the more events we'll see in coming years, unless ZOS decides to ever stop the trend and not give a DLC zone/chapter its own anniversary event.

I see, I guess I read a bit more into the OP's original message than was intended. I saw the 8th referenced for the Twitch stream related to the MW event, and yes, events probably do start on Thursdays more than other days of the week, but I just didn't put those two things together and come up with the 7th for myself. In fact, a few weeks ago, before we got this close to the end of January, I was looking at the calendar, and had thought the 31st to myself but then didn't think about it further after that. Thanks for clarifying for me.

well, considering that they're targeting 16 separate events (4 events per quarter, to release each berry), during the course of 12 months, for the Indrik proceedings, I doubt that's going to happen any time soon. I just hope that they continue to have interesting and varied approaches to the events, and to tweak those that occurred previous years, like the New Charity writs, for instance.

Events are going to be their ultimate answer to new content, once they get enough of them to fill in most of the blanks.

Or figure out more ways to combine them, like they did with the TG & DB this past year.

Ignoring them works. These events are popular because people go all nutso over free stuff...even if it's a butt ugly mount. :/
