Maintenance for the week of April 6:
• PC/Mac: No maintenance – April 6

Stop. Whining. About. Maintenance. Please.

Guys. We had this for 2 years already. The new chapter content is added to game portion by portion from winter till spring. Thus we have longer maintenance and bugs. It is inevitable – both adding the new content (luckily) and bugs (sad, but inevitable).

We are no kids, are we? This game is for grown-ups, not whining children. Be patient. Be grown-ups. Whining on forum yields no result but contaminating the forum with dozens of whining threads.

Look, ZOS don’t want extended maintenance. They want to have a bug-free game lot more than all of you. If maintenance is long, THERE IS A REASON. People are doing their job. You want to play? Well, they want to eat. Or sleep. Or both. But they keep working because it is their job. THEY DO IT FOR YOU. You paid for the game, for ESO+? Well, here’s your service. People are busy making this game work so that you can play and be pleased.

This is good and all, but it doesn't quite explain why the other servers are fine and active, while the EU servers have been down all day.

I mean, if what you are saying would actually be true, then everyone from all platforms would be complaining. And yet it seems to only be EU... I wonder why...

Ok, the some compensation would be nice? You know, some forthcoming by ZoS would be nice, no? ESO+ costs money.

Yea I think this is what annoys people. EU servers conistantly have much more downtime than NA servers. I was glancing through some old posts, and this has been an issue since launch. I'm not saying NA does not have downtime, but it is far less frequent than EU.

It's like we are second class customers or something.

Why do you whine about the whiners? Tbh zos EU server job is pretty embarrassing atm...

Not to mention bugs, extreme lag, bad class balance, exploids, cheat add-ons etc. Each DLC is putting some glue on the unrepaired...

First off, it's only been the PC servers that have had maintenance today.

Second, the PC NA server only needed a reboot, while the PC EU server needed an update to the server software.

Clearly something went wrong with the PC EU server maintenance, and that is being fixed tonight. Whilst unfortunate, these things happen and there's really no point in getting upset over it. Challenging ZOS over the lack of information through most of the day and evening is another matter altogether and they really do need to get their act together in that respect. How, for example, did the German forums get an explanation of what was going on this afternoon yet all was silent on the other forums? They've been promising improved communication for a while now, and it's really time it happened.

do you even was reading these patch notes from this maitenance?
nothing, literally nothing breaking this game like just loading screens was adjusted for that long maitenance...only small things about most nobody every care

I dont see any reason of that long maitenance in day, this didnt bring anything to improve QoL in game, everything how was *** it is still *** but additionally someone let enter BULL to server room whcih *** our guilds, friends rosters, mail and even chat....so now they needed to do another maitenance for maitenance

and no, I dont see they want bug free game as we still have bugs which we had in beta so please, ZO$ dont care about fixing old *** as this wont give them money like their *** store (look at patch note)

yes I paid for game and probably still playing for eso+ and what I have?

    - insane loading screens since last weeks - not even fixed in today's long af patch
    - not working/buggeed lfg tool since it was created
    - game poorly made and need to have many addons to have reasonable gameplay like in every other normal mmo
    - and so often game crashes (often because of addons...but look above)

with not to mention as not everyone are in rich countries and for some people this ESO+ isnt that very cheap and we count every day active of this while playing here

The maintenance has literally lasted entire day? What sort of a clown fiesta is that? It's 2am in eastern EU and they're still in maintenance, holy *** ***.

Nope, this is the second maintenance, since the game was pretty unplayable after the first one.

That's easy: there is only one European CM, Kai Schober, who is posting in the German forum - and who hasn't permission to do it in the English forum. The US CMs can't post during the maintenance since they are sleeping at that time, and by the time they are working, the maintenance is usually over. We definitely need an English EU CM too, or at least a permission for posting here for Kai, but I think the chance for that is the same as getting a profitable legendary JC master writ...

It is more embarrasing that we have 2019, them having tons of money but still unable to setup some stable server structure and performance.

Well, stop giving us a valid reason to whine about than.
If ZOS was more informative people wouldn't have to come to the forums and demand information.
A lot of us pay a monthly fee and as all other things that gets billed on a monthly basis you expect to get the service you pay for, I wouldn't just go "Well well no electricity for a day, things can happen I guess it will be back tomorrow, maybe", or the phone or the internet.

My work is head of customer service in the EU branch for a rather big brand, I know when I see insufficient interaction with consumers for the sake of putting out fires, it is literally my job to oversee that.

They dont need to offer us consumers a compensation (or they wouldn't have to) if they just were fast enough to inform and calm down their customers about the reason, solution and expected timespan for this issue to get resolved, now however they have turned a big part of those customers into special cases were they need to consider a compensation to not leave them in a feeling that the company they put money into might not give them especially good value for their money.

I understand that criticism easily gets mistaken to be whining when the amount of criticism arise to the level we see here today, dont be mistaken though, where there's smoke.

It's ridiculous, it's like ZOS is assuming that all europeans talk german, not english. When in reality it's the other way around, everyone can speak or at least understand english, but few other than the germans can speak or understand german.

    A: We are Devo.

Seriously, no we are not children. We are people spending money on a product. When that product stops working, we have a right to complain.

If ZOS tire of the complaints, then they should exercise more diligence with their updates.
This is not rocket science; this is consumer backlash. Without it, capitalism would fail.

If individual employees of ANY organisation don't like it when customer backlash arrives in their world, they can leave and go work somewhere else. That also is a component of capitalism.

    Consume.
    Be Silent.

I think this is next level racism.
History, like a human being, is thirsty when it wakes from its slumber…History wants to drink up an enormous amount of blood. And even if history has tired of drinking blood, that’s only in regards to the amount. But what about quality? The larger the sacrifice is, the more delighted the cruel gods will be.

Yeah, stop whinging... Other mmos can do their maintenance while servers are still live/active and major updates only go down for the length of time it take for you to download it.
Silly for zos's comsumers asking to receive a quality service instead of a sub par one.
