How to Avoid Selling Items Equipped

Hi.

Apologies for this noob question, particularly if it has been answered elsewhere.

If, when I am in dialogue with a merchant, and I am selling, for example, surplus items of clothing/armour/weapons etc. How can I avoid accidentally selling something I am currently/have equipped? Do such items appear in my selling inventory? Or is it not possible to sell worn/equipped items?

Thank you.

Ya dont think you can sell items you have on. You can lock items if you dont want to sell those.

Right click on item (from inventory view - not in selling window) choose lock option, items will not be listed for sale when you have them like that nor will you be able to deconstruct them at workbenches by accident.

If you sell stuff to a merchant in game by mistake, go to the buy back tag.

    This.
Also you do do not want to wear non set gear the one who can be sold.
You want to use set gear, you probably seen lots of items you get has an 2-5 item bonus grayed out.
you want 5 of them for all the bonuses but just two helps.
Best advice get into an friendly guild and ask if some can help craft them.
But you can also pick up sets in an zone.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

it is possible to sell gear that you have equipped and then removed to a merchant.
It is not possible to sell gear that you have equipped and then removed through guild sales - it becomes bound to you.

i don't think its possible to sell items that you have currently equipped; they should not show

You can use the buy back option from the merchant if you inadvertently sell any item that you want to keep, but the list of available items to buy back is finite, so do it straight away.

I know that equipped items have a Tick symbol that flashes when you are using the workbenches, but I can't remember if this is part of an addon or not.

This. Right click on the item - you should see the LOCK option. A padlock will show when you check your inventory. The item should not show during sales or workbench actions.
