Preferential Treatment to Certain Players

I’m curious if preferential treatment is given to certain players in this game? These players can be class reps, stream team members, community ambassadors, and etc. I would hope all players who run into issues and such in game would be treated as fairly as people who are not as regarded in the community. Please keep comments to constructive format only and abide by the forum policies.

I doubt it, like of course they're going to have more contact with class reps and stream team members as that's just kind of the nature of the role. But I doubt it's really anything near "preferential treatment"
Since everyone seems to be doing this,
    DPS Builds:
    - Magicka Sorcerer (Pet) [Flawless Conqueror @ 565CP] - 582k
    - Magicka Nightblade [Flawless Conqueror @ 780CP] - 575k
    - Stamina Sorcerer [Flawless Conqueror @ 420CP] - 560k
    - Magicka Classless [Flawless Conqueror @ 810CP] - 540k
    - Magicka Templar [Stormproof] - 550k
    - Magicka Warden [Stormproof] - 510k
    - Stamina Templar [In Development]
    - Stamina DK [In Development]
    - Stamina NB [Under 50]

Actually yes there is. When SypherPK logged into play pvp as a promo for the elsewyr twitch steam he somehow logged into the server dierectly when there was easily a 100 plus player queue.

Do you have specific concerns or is this just vague speculation that some players may have received unspecified "preferential treatment" at some point that's essentially unprovable either way?

Nothing specific per say just asking in general.

Preferential treatment in what way? Not sure I entirely understand the discussion.

Generally we have more direct contact with ZOS so any bugs we know of can be highlighted better by us, however we don't get any special benefits within the game as to how issues are handled.

Community Ambassadors at least only have access to the community team and mostly just pass on threads etc. we notice which ZOS should take a look at.

Not sure if it's still done or has been superseded by other forms of engagement, but in the past they organised a Guild Summit where representatives from certain handpicked guilds got to physically meet and discuss issues with the devs.

That ended some time ago I believe. The more recent variants were the beta tests for Morrowind and Summerset where selected players got to go and test the game.
Also since then we've had the Class Rep programme start up which is more of an ongoing one but so far hasn't had any face to face meetings that I am aware of.

Pretty much everyone got the summerset thing though.

I thought I didn’t have it then logged into PTS and was surprised I could go to summerset lol.

They paid SypherPK to promote ESO? Who is he going to promote it to? The 6 year olds that watch his channel? Lmfao, doubt they can wrap their head around MMORPGs

It was quite comical listening to him try and explain what eso is to them.

I've never heard of anyone getting any kind of preferential treatment as a result of being part of any of the programmes mentioned. The nearest thing to that I know of is when certain people get invited to beta test the next expansion, but that's a very large group and seems to be randomly selected (since they even managed to include some console only players who can't even download the PTS). It's also debatable whether beta testing counts as special treatment or being asked to do a favour for ZOS.

Oh I thought if an example....

So a friend of mine had about 3-5 months of harassment from a player and their guild. Said friend provided reports and screenshots of all the harassment done but nothing ever came of it.

Recently on twitch and twitter there is a guy/group of people who troll streamers and they complained to ZOS about it via private methods and on Twitter and said person(s) was temporarily banned within days.

So is there a difference between the months and months of harassment from a player/guild than the 1 day of trolling a streamer who went to Twitch/private methods of contacting ZOS?

Who did your friend speak to about the issue. Did they speak with just support or reach out to ZOS staff directly?

I'd say it's probably down to a failure in support to take action. Also without knowing details it's hard to judge how each case compares to the other.

There was an advertisement of d list celebrities that play eso. Every one of them were PC players. PC gets latest patches 2 weeks before console players.

    PC players get preferential treatment.

Without divulging much of said friends private information they do not have social media outside of their private Facebook account and went about reporting via the only method they could which was in game and by linking images of what was going on. They do not have any individual contacts inside ZOS to reach out to either.

It’s a shame that said friend had to go on for months and months for nothing to happen but when a streamer experiences similar in a much shorter span of less than a day action is taken just because they went to Twitter/private contact methods of which a vast majority of the game does not have means to use.

I mean normally you can PM ZOS staff on the forums or make a thread about an issue with a ticket number to get a little more chance of ZOS checking up on what their support staff have looked at.

I mean ZOS staff are approachable on social media although it's not the most polite way. Was there no way yourself or other friends could have sent a message to Gina/Jess and asked them to look into a ticket number?

It doesn't seem so much preferential treatment as just the streamer in question used more direct means to highlight the issue, if it was via Twitter then that's a route everyone who's polite has access to, it's just not the correct way of doing things (ZOS staff Twitter accounts are personal accounts after all).

lol come on now. Why even ask such an obvious thing. Thats just how it goes.

But on a larger scale, I'd say PC gets preferential treatment over console from zos.. does that count?

That was the "Council of Nirn", we met with the devs on a more or less regular basis.
That died right around the time the Community Ambassador program was launched.

But it was less of a discussion, we presented them with a list of issues and suggestions that the guilds had compiled and the devs took it and maybe asked a few questions and that was it.

The vast majority of our input was ignored and lost in space ...
