Maintenance for the week of September 22:
• NA megaservers for maintenance – September 22, 4:00AM EDT (8:00 UTC) - 10:00AM EDT (14:00 UTC)
• EU megaservers for maintenance – September 22, 8:00 UTC (4:00AM EDT) - 14:00 UTC (10:00AM EDT)

maintenance EU vs US

Such is the internet. Easier to complain than find something productive or positive to do with ones time.

The reason that we're complaining is that they don't fix jack **** with these maintenance periods. It's like people forget that we have these every week, sometimes even more and most of the time they last an entire day. Even though all of these long lasting maintenances, we STILL have the same latency issues, we still suffer from bugs and glitches that has been there for YEARS and we've had endless loading screens for months.

We're waiting for a maintenance that's been put during the MIDDLE OF THE DAY, and they don't make a difference. What they should do is the following.

    1. Schedule the maintenance to be from 01:00 to 08:00
    2. Solve some of the hundreds of issues that the game suffers from
    3. Stop focusing on the Crown Store for just a moment

Will they do this? No. WoW is a bigger game, with a larger playerbase, and they don't even do weekly maintenance anymore. They stopped with this archaic system years ago.

This game has so much going for it, it's just riddled with the most incompetence team when it comes to stability and performance. You don't need to be a doctor to see that someone has a broken arm, and you sure as hell don't need to be a developer to see that something is seriously wrong here. Other MMOs fix bugs within a week, or even a few days. This game can't even solve some of the issues after years. Yet to this day the complete all death challenges still require you to have completed Deadly Crypt Survivor. This has been there for YEARS, and it would take less than an hour or two to fix it!

Internet is also the arena where the most biased views will take place. My subjective meaning is the original question was very productive, unfortunately the developers choose to ignore it (apart from that german speaking mod, I dont know german so I can only take the translators word for what he said). Questions must and should be asked to ensure progress towards an optimized product. As far as I am concerned theres still no explanation as to why EU customers must accept 4 hours more downtime, during their primetime session than the american customers, who also have their downtime during the very offtime period. To me, it looks very much like prime and secondary rated customers. To reassure EU customers I suggest Zenimax next time they need a downtime they pick US primetime as a token of trust towards the EU playerbase. Do you think it will happen?

    Personally I'm fine with it.

I was having serious loading issues over the weekend, to the point that I felt compelled to submit a bug report after thirty minutes of trying to complete a solo dungeon for the main story.

If this extended maintenance turns into more reliable game performance this week, I'll be content.

As far as my personal opinion go, all is forgiven if the lag and loading is gone when the EU servers launch again.

Like the last time they had maintenance? What about the week before that? What about last months maintenance? The one we had in December last year? October last year?

Don't mind if there's a valid reason behind it and it's addressing some of the games "almost game breaking" flaws.
Though one does have to scratch ones head as to why this is being done during the day and not during unsocial hours 03:00-09:00 ?

Fix? why fix? I thought they need 4 more hours to add some more lags and loading screens, or maybe even some trial's crashes.

Was those maintenances also hours longer than in NA? Naturally if there would be no reason at all to keep EU waiting I would be angry, but as the game worked me fine until couple days off I am inclined to think they want to rectify the problem. I like to br hopeful, it's definetly nicer feeling than anger.

Yeah, I agree. I would think they keep the same configuration for the servers, both for hardware and software. It seems I was wrong about that. Of course it would be great to get an answer from a CM, but since there isn't any European English-speaking CM at ZOS... I'm curious if there will be one.
    @ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_JessicaFolsom

@ZOS_KaiSchober speaks English. When he wants to. Pretty good English, too.

Thanks to Kai, we know that EU has some software maintenance that was not needed on the NA server. At least, not this week. Yeah, he posted it in German. A minor inconvenience, really.

I'm sure he does (it must be a requirement for his job). However it seems he doesn't have a permission to post in the English forum - and that means there is simply zero information for the European players in the English forum before 18:00 CET. And that borders the "unacceptable" status for me. Now every information about the European server are only posted in the German forum (or maybe in the French too...), and it's true that many plaers are speaking german, however even more are speaking English. And there is nothing here, only after Jess or Gina have started their workshift - which is early evening in Europe.

The people that have the power to fix thing (notice I said power not ability) don't read the forums and the real kicker is, they don't play the game. So they are clueless and don't care.

Greed + shodddy incompetent programming + unstable cheap servers + awful game engine + more greed suyms zos up in a nutshell. I still love the game despite the 1000s of bugs, one of the most pathetic and dull combat systems I have ever had the misfortune to experience and forcing us into only one role, but it is broken af every dlc and chapter just breaks it a bit more and come on zos fire your quest writers, seriously they suck. Bunch of greedy corporate stooges, they are just as bad as ubi**** and E(i havent got a clue)A. Rant over but I hate where they have brought eso to as they never used to be this greedy, what changed I wonder.
