Is Flurry a channeled DOT or a direct damage attack?

So I've done some research and according to multiple sources puncturing sweeps is a channeled DOT. Flurry is a similar ability that functions almost the same way. So does that mean flurry is also a DOT? and if so will it trigger sets and cp like valkyn skoria and thaumaturge?

✭✭✭✭100% a dot. Will proc valkyn and not nerianith. Sweeps/jabs is also a dot, though will proc "direct melee damage", which is a different category then simple direct damage.

GaunterODim✭✭✭✭Sure that jabs completely count as direct melee damage? Thoguht only the burning light procs would be that and the ability itself would be considered dot damage. (at least by the game)2 -

Yes. Jabs alone is enough to proc selenes and ravager, the only 2 sets that matter. This has been tested many times, by many people on this forum. I see this as a bug with jabs and not flurry though.0 -

✭Well dont forget that Flurry isnt counted as meele dmg, so it will not proic sets like Advancing Yokeda.
