Random observation of necros and their justice system feature

I have been doing Caldwell's silver and gold recently (been putting it off for ages) and it got me thinking of the proposed feature for the necro class on release getting a bounty if they use any necro magic in front of townsfolk. At first it seemed like a cool idea but after playing through the other campaigns its seems hypocritical that as the player/vestage we would be precived as criminals while it seems necromancers are used in the factions ranks.

I know of the covanant using it against the pack and the reaction was that the covenant is sick for using such vile magic, yet when you fight pact forces in the AD story they have necromancers as standard troops.

Again I just realized this and thought now it seems silly that we need to be careful of our chosen magic field, yet others its totally fine to use against or enemies.

Again just a random observation

Crimes against the enemy are considered excusable no matter how heinous, it’s war after all

Additionally, I doubt it’s uncommon to forcibly conscript criminals (Necromancers) to fight in said war as penance of sorts.

I mean I get it if they mean you get a bounty for using the corpse of a innocent for your own needs as that would be considered desecration of the body, but the assumption that all necromancy is bad and therefore criminal they wouldent use it at all. It just doesn't make any seance " we declare all necromancy criminal behavior and shall not be tolerated, unless you plan to enlist then its totally fine."

If you go to a war zone as a civilian and start killing solders, you will get charged with a crime. If you enlist with one side or the other, it's perfectly legal.

I get that, but what I'm saying is that the factions react with disdain when necromancy is used against them yet they imploy it themselves against other factions. And if i remeber correctly casting any necro spell around a witness that can add a bounty will (they did not say that out right but it was implied, also possibly not set in stone). So I'm just trying to figure out why, the player/vestage using necromancy is wrong but others its fine.

I'm not on PTS, but I believe it is not all necro spells, just a few of the ones that mess with dead. Just like killing an NPC in town will earn a bounty, raising them up will also earn a bounty.

IMHO it is a bad idea simply because it is a "gateway" to doing the same to WW & Vamps.

Tell me, a city guard would react to necromancer rising corpses in the middle of the town but wont react to Werewolfs roaming through a city or pale vampire just casually walking thorough the town ???

Yea its not in pts or has been exlained further but I hope its more along those lines rather a blanket ban. If its a full ban then it just seems hypocritical

Werewolves in wolf form should get a bounty. Vamps get a bounty if they feed, but otherwise since there is no “off” state for vamps you can only make them like necromancers in that using certain abilities should earn bounties

I am 100% for that and think they should’ve had it like that from the start

Yea that too. Vampires and weres are also reviled, even more so as they are not really seen as accepted by any one faction (minus a very select few) yet no extra attention is warranted when they are about

Honestly I think it's just going to be an annoying feature and I hope they do no implement it.
