Yeah, let me borrow a couple thousand temps and stuff and a couple billion gold from friends then transfer to another platform. You’ll get it back as soon the transfer is complete on this platform.

    Nope

    Not gonna happen.

And surely easy enough to implement. I'm sure I've overlooks something, but nothing that couldn't be solved.

    Just this.

We have not built, and do not plan to build, the capability to move individual characters from platform to platform. We were only able to move characters in bulk for consoles once on June 1st, 2015 because the database tables we copied to were brand new (empty). Now that the database tables are filled with other data, the techniques we used before no longer work.
If they thought the uptake would be significant enough to make a large profit they would find a way.

Or it can lead to a large fine from MS/Sony that will render any kind of profit pointless. We do not know what kind of agreement is there between ZOS and console owners.

Yes - A paid transfer service would be a great option!

This might be true. I would assume ZOS owns all the rights to player data and doing such an import would require the user to have a new copy of the game on the desired platform they would want to switch to, but yeah there might be legal reasons this could not happen.

MSFT and Sony have rules regarding cross platform data transfer. ZOS is legally obliged to not data transfer between consoles and PC, no cross platform transfer is allowed

However in the future MSFT may ease their rules between XB and PC, but Sony wont

    Why not

A lot of people have already explained why not. Actually have a read of the thread.

Funny how two other games were able to do server to server transfers and charge for it, but these guys can't figure it out. Yeah. They were PC to PC. But still. It's database tables. Re-purpose the process used to move from PC to console at that time and charge for it. If they wanted to do it, they could.
