For clarification, will my existing items update when the changes go live or will I need to acquire new items?

    ^ This. I already have gold set of curse eater and it shows the new changes on PTS. I don't agree with the changes, but whatever...ZOS will learn the hard way when it hits live and people realize how to really utilize it. Can't wait...

    I swear if curse eater makes it out of PTS unscathed like woah... about to ruin PvP for good.

    If by "ruin" you mean "fix by eliminating all those pesky bleeds, dots, sloads etc" then yes.
