Seriously though.
Since people are complaining about trade spam why not have a signboard where (for a small fee) a person can list something kind of like a classified ad for a limited period of time.
Guilds could also recruit there by posting an ad explaining just what they have to offer as a guild.
Sure, it is in essence an AH without the functionality of one, but it would clean up zone chat somewhat, provide a gold sink, and foster communication between a buyer and a seller.
And if the handbills were only visible locally...
You might miss out on some deals, but at least you...as a potential buyer...know who to go to the next time you need something...and if ESO is trying to be "realistic" this isn't necessarily a bad way to compromise, especially for those small guilds that don't have a bank, much less a store.
Yeah, yeah...I know. Why bother with handbills when you can just spam chat? Well do YOU want to buy from a guy that's been annoying the crap out of you for the last 20 minutes?
