You never mess with changing the past, don't you watch any Sci-Fi?
There are a number of quests where it's hard to play through them without being frustrated how you character is locked into one outcome, mostly because they feel like there should be alternative options. The sacrifice we make for playing CRPG's over pen and paper RPG's.

I did the correct dialogue. I got the info about turning the two ayelid stones but the quest would not let me progress unless I had killed the queen, knight and princess to question their spirits which I painfully had to go through... The orcs did say those who chose exile would live but it didn't make me feel better one bit

I remember the island as its original name, Betony.
To us, the Orcs are murderous invaders who stole the home of the original Bretons, but to the Orcs, thats just how their people are. The glorious conquest. They earned that island through blood and battle and proved their right to claim it. They dont care about it already being claimed, they only care about being the stronger, more deserving people. ""What's yours is now mine because I'm stronger than you".

The Orcs respect the dead, I can imagine they allowed the survivors to bury their loved ones or buried them as a sign of respect in their cemetery. The Blood thorns or whatever they are called have no respect at all and had they succeeded in using the relic well that might have been even worse then the events in the rivenspire which I will not spoil. The thing about the Vestige is they have power where others might have visions and relive the past without being able to change it. The Vestige has the option of reliving and changing the past and actively interact with it even if they never meant too. You can see this through several of the quests. You can literally change the past in several Daggerfall covenant missions as well. You can choose to change the past in order to change the fate of several people.

But the king and queen still died based on lore tho
Maybe it changes their dialogue but it doesn't still change history
I normally play as a Breton (Oblivion and Skyrim) but had to play as an altmer in eso for dps reasons so the entire history hurts me to the core
There's so much I don't know about tamriel even

Well the past is the past, and its best not changing it. Imagine if you were not born as a result in someone changing the timeline. The orcs well did a lot of heinous things but the bretons as well have done a lot of bad things some even worse then the orcs and the redguards have done the same. It is sad, and its good story telling. But yeah its something that will repeat. The Bretons did a lot of horrible things towards the Orcish people rather recently. The Orcs only took over an island, and removed the survivors. But the Bretons and Redguards have done campaigns of genocide on the orcs. Which is a cycle I think. So the Orcs still get a lot of the blunt of hate and fear. Just for the actions of some of the orcs in the past.
Wait wait..the bretons did what? Genocide? Wait I forgot to mention I'm new in eso (this is my second month of playing) I haven't gotten really deep in quests except for those in auridon, summerset and vvardenfell. I know not of any genocide. Where can I find quests about the genocide campaigns
I wanna know more
I hate the orcs but genocide is going a bit too far

You'll find out as you go along that no race in this game is completely innocent and all have skeletons in the closet.

Apart from the usual warring I can't come up with any atrocities done by the Khajiit. But I'm no lore expert.

There is a quest in Stonefalls that I refuse to pick up after I did it on 2 characters. I just hate all the outcomes. And I'm ok with that.

Though, seriously, the Khajiit and Bosmer have done some pretty horrible things to one another. Nothing comes to mind that's exceptionally messed up at the moment, but there is history there.

I'm guessing it's cuz it's an online game with lots of players in the same instance
