Warden Class Frost Theme Discussion

Warden Frost Mage
I find myself using Winterborn, Necropotence, Iceheart. Winterborn Ice Staff and Maelstrom Ice staff.
I wanted to replace Necropotence with something more Icy, but it’s really good on Warden. Was thinking of swapping to Ysgramor’s for theme, but my Ice skills are Northern Storm, winters revenge, Wall of elements, and light attacks. Fetcher infection, Dive and shalks are all magic damage. So Necro kind of buffs everything more equally.
For whatever reason, this works really well for me. I’m actually not even slotting a Damage shield on this toon and it really doesn’t need one most times. On a dummy, I consistently hit around 28k with a dead simple rotation I can keep up.
I got around 37k DPS with the bear, BSW, Master Architect, Zaans. It’s very inconsistent though. For me anyways
A guy I know hits 50k+ using siroria, ms, Zaan & Psijic Skills. I couldn’t do it the same though. Need an easier rotation.
I’m sure good players probably do better still. But this is about as good it gets for me.

✭✭✭✭✭I think you would make a good fit on the Frost Discord. We have people there who talk about this stuff.
I use julianos necro and iceheart. But ill be replacing julianos for siroria when i get the pieces. And ill be replacing iceheart for Zaan's very soon too. What i wear and use is just not enough dps. md3788✭✭✭I made a frost mage as well. It's pretty fun. I wouldn't recommend Ysgramor's unless you really wanted to keep everything ice themed (I don't really consider this set ice themed, it just amps ice damage to which there isn't much of). Julianos will perform better. If you're running the bear, necro may be a better idea. I personally do not run the bear. My build may not be perfect as it was my first theory craft where I built the bar setup and rotation.

✭✭I don’t use the bear either. I liked the idea of using him, but the guy never works right for me. Keeping the Netch up is good enough for Necropotence. Also re summoning it heals you a nice little bump for free.0
