When is ZOS going to address the worsening "Stuck in Combat" bug in PvP????

Ok ZOS....this is getting more than a little ridiculous. I just spent 10min stuck in combat. AT MY MAIN GATE. Please explain that to me. had to wait stupidly long to finally port TO my north gate from an unfledged keep.... then got to main gate, turned in a quest and SUDDENLY WAS IN COMBAT AGAIN. Explain to me how that works??? I was not grouped. I had no status effect on me. Obviously i had no skills ticking damage on an enemy player because it took nearly 5min just to get the transits from bro working. This isn't just taking extra time to mount now or needing to weapon swap.... this is becoming seriously broken. and before you say server lag..... keep in mind i was at my main gate..... where theres no combat.... with minimal people around.... and my ping, fps, and ISP speed test all checked out fine. even ran a trace route to my ISP and to zos server and had no noise anywhere so what the heck is going on ZOS???? Is this being looked into? its been a couple MONTHSnow of really bad issues with this combat bug and its not improving. templar channelled focus is even interfering with folks mounting till it runs out...and that doesn't even affect causing dmg lol so what gives???

    Wow that bug always happens in the vet dungeon Wayrest and come to think of it, many many others.

    Also there is also that weird bug where you dodge roll but come up in a frozen "crouched" posture where you have to dodge roll again to get out of.

    Also there is the infamous line of sight issue plaguing this game. Like it is horrible and egregious how awful the pathing and line of sight issue are in this game, especially for range classes. *sigh

    I've had to log in and out for the combat bug to go away. Otherwise, it's walking to everywhere in Cyrodiil and possibly get ganked. It's weird. Even when you leave group or try reloadui it won't go away. Sometimes you respawn after dying and you're still in combat.

    The line of sight thing has always been like that. For example snipe / draining shot / flame clench / other skills following people turning corners and walking through keep doors it will still hit them even if you can't see them. People used to do abilities like dk leap to tab target and get into full health keeps this way.

    Actually, the exploiting into full health keeps is back. True they can’t dk leap onto the keep. That fix still worked. Butprior to Summerset launch they had just fixed folks being able to gap-close through doors. Then Summerset launched and there were a few nb coming through again..... then Murkmire hit and dk chains (both for them to get in or to pull you back through a closed door) the warden teleport, and nb gap closers all are getting through again. The thing that amazes me is that when Templar’s could gap close with their toppling charges from the porch up onto the top floor of outposts for a few months the devs lost their minds and OMG GOTTA FIX THIS RIGHT AWAY lol.... yet we have had basically four years of dk and nb abusing doors.....and now a solid three months and counting of severe stuck in combat issues and not one successful fix yet. 😂🤦‍♀️

    There not. They are too busy making changes to their game all the time. Whether the changes are directed towards race, skill, passive or CP. It never ends.

    They're never going to address it. It has happened in various places since launch. People have offered countless ways around the problem in the past and nothing has been done. The issue itself is likely complex and difficult to fix, but it should be relatively simple to just let people use out of combat mechanics if they've gone untouched for so many seconds, regardless of combat flags.

    Make Rush of Agony "Monsters only." People should not be consecutively crowd controlled in a PvP setting. Period.

    Yesterday was awful...Nikel to Fare on foot, cant change skills to Rapids.
    If you get a long combat bug go to IC, if you are near, and go back to Cyro. Last week i got 45min combat bug duration.

    ZOS' plans are so long-term that they go beyond the point when the last star in the universe has finally died .... some some countless millenia after that ZOS is planning to address the in-combat-bug. But you know, what are a few trillion years when your time horizon is infinity.

    It's a feature. No mounting and no porting make getting to battles take longer. Fewer people show up, so there is less lag.

    This was fixed several patches ago and then came back in a recent patch. This is the norm for ZOS.

    That's not correct. Since most fights are fought between zergs, they are all stuck in combat for the same time, which means they will show up at the next battle at the same time ... in zerg size!

    Especially since lags are predominantly caused by organized ball groups and they will not leave half their team behind even if the other half got out of combat earlier. So the entire lag-causing-group will show up at the same time and start screwing the pvp experience of everybody else on the server - just as if there was not in-combat-bug.

    Last thing we heard from Gina was that they “have a pretty good idea what’s causing it”. But it seems that they have not an idea yet how to fix it. It’s disappointing.

    Ew. Mine was I noticed some enemy faction gates were down so I started collecting that Skyshard on alts that still needed it. Got to my fourth alt and after running through the faction gate and hiding way off to the side, like I normally do, I got the stuck-in-combat bug. Wasn't able to do much of anything due to the bug, but luckily no enemy players were paying attention and I was still able to get the skyshard. Luckily there was an enemy scroll temple nearby, else it would have been a long walk back, so I bloodported. After respawning the bug was finally gone but would trigger immediately again if I engaged in any combat. This pattern lasted until I relogged onto a different alt.

    Just get rid of it. I never understood the point of it to begin with. If you jump your mount and attempt to ride away in combat, you'll be shot in the back and killed anyway. And when a dog snarls at you you're in combat? I don't think so. :/

    I blame DC's performance on PCNA Vivec entirely on that bug, we have it worse than the other factions :lol:

    Joking aside, I'm really disappointed we haven't heard official word on this matter, when it's something so disruptive to playing.

    it's kind of funny, but also sad, that zos has "trained" us to expect less than ideal gaming conditions in cyrodiil (heck, not even just cyrodii)...

    I fully expect ar some point this year that we'll see a return of:
    - never ending load screens
    - constant combat disconnects
    - inability to use the transitus network
    - the glitch where everyone on the screen freezes, and then you disconnect
    - the keep/outpost glitch where the enemy can stroll into your location without seiging
    - more health desyncs
    - i'm sure i'm forgetting some others...

    man, zos has sure taught me how to be more "patient" these last few years...
