Class Reps buying out certain items before news on the next patch?

Could they potentially make millions from it? Maybe. Who cares? Once you have a few million you quickly realise there isn't that much you NEED to buy that costs a lot. Skins? You don't need them. Housing- you don't need it, or anything connected to it. End game gears- are mostly bound on pickup so you might need some gold to make it legendary. Gold jewellery? Make do with purple for a while..

If a set gets a buff and suddenly becomes bis, so what? Go farm. You don't need it straight away.

I'm more interested in the new class and seeing what that is like and how brokenly OP it is until the nerf bat comes along after someone comes up with a decent build.

This is the worst type of attitude.

Did the sets the OP noticed were being bought out correspond to any of the sets that got updated? Or did we tinfoil hat in vain?

I'm pretty curious too.

I mean, ZoS could for example, look and see if any of the reps or people connected to them or their devs, bought up a bunch of curse-eater jewelry and other gold pvp jewelry that was just in the vendor the last two weeks and then remove them from the program.

But considering all these changes came out right after the gold jewelry was in the event seems pretty scummy.

Eh, the gold PVP jewelry has always been in the Midyear Mayhem event, so I'm not sure there's anything too nefarious going on there. You can still get the purple jewelry and gold it out if you want.

Hardly. It wouldn't be the first time people have tried to manipulate the games economy. Hell guilds to it all the time making secondary guilds to up the cost or lower the cost of certain items.

Actually, influential streamers and youtubers don't even need inside knowledge to make tons of money.
Alcast, for example, would just have to farm some trash set like, say, Skooma Smuggler, then use it in his builds and sell that new "meta" set at outrageous prices (not implying he does)

OP can drop his tinfoil hat, I found a few curse eater resto staves (trash traits though) on some traders shortly after the PTS patch notes and snatched them.
