So you're current 45k+ specs will have less magica. Pets only scale with max magica iirc so will now do less damage. Plus necropotence won't as, well, potent.
The extent they go to make a new class shine. SHAME!
(Salty? You bet! Unfortunately for me, and Zos, I've mainly mained two classes since March 2014 (played others for sure). Templars and Sorcerers, and they'll keep hearing about the ill treatment of these classes to make upcoming class stand out for $.)

So you're current 45k+ specs will have less magica. Pets only scale with max magica iirc so will now do less damage. Plus necropotence won't as, well, potent.

We have seen this before, and Zos isn't standing out on the "do things differently than before" department. Just the Pet Sorc nerf is an excellent indicator of that. Nerfs were raining over Templars prior to the Warden release, i.e, like the removal of stun from Shards/Blazing Spear (lololol) justified with some BS "make combat easier" argument, but Warden Scarab's "I Win" CCs and 5K+ hits upfront? We've only ever had one new class before and from the looks of it Wardens were never that good to begin with and Stamden only became good recently. So what exactly is your prior example?0 -

Magdens pull 5-6k less DPS than magblade/magplar and have zero utility. They used to be ~10k behind, so they're getting closer, but still so far behind you get laughed at for bringing them to any endgame content.2 -

Some of us are running 62k max magica on our pet builds.. i am going to check and see what the 10% really is and post. I suspect it is only 10% of base magica and not 10% of all magica. If its off of base, 2000k will be just slightly less than what we have now. If its off of all stats which i dont think it is it will be a 4.5k nerrf to my build.
In the end I suspect that the 2000k and 258 sd that amps for another 20% is going to be better than what we had.0 -

This means your Critical Hit Chance, Critical Hit Multipliers, Champion Points, and other % damage or healing amplifications will be applied to any pet you summon. Item sets that summon pets will continue to not inherent your Critical Strike Chance.
Developer comment:
This was aimed at making the stat scaling system easier to understand in the long run; when you increase your own damage, your pets will now follow in scale as such. This is part of an ongoing process to make pets clearer and more enjoyable to use.Edited by adriant1978 on January 21, 2019 9:10PM1 -

Max magica on my pet build the most magica i can stack is 64,186 . An optimized build will have less than this around 59 to 62. I just wanted tk see what the 10% high elf racial was on a fully stacked number.
So it is 4,553. So i am not sure what the final number will be when 2000 is added back in and then amplified. I honesty dont think its that big of a deal on a normal build. Looks like the most it would be is 2k on a non optimized build.
On an optimized build its go to be less. Now that pets scale with our stats its a win win i think for pet sorcs.
It might seem like its backwards when i reference optimized build haveing less max magika. I dont have time to explain how i stacked and how its not optimal.
