    Brian "please spread out" Wheeler? Not much is going to change and if it is going to change it is going to change for the worse, imo. Hopefully Wheeler decides to listen to people who actually play the game. That said, it may have been Wheeler who called for no CP increase, which is definitely a positive.

    I think we're going to see a transition away from percentage based modifiers to flat bonuses. Other than that? Honestly not sure. I've met both Brian and Eric, but I have to admit, I'm not sure I could fully articulate the difference between their positions as developers.

    Hopefully he fixes the CCs spamming problem, makes light armor viable again or improves shields.

    I hope they also get people to improve the RPG side of this MMORPG .

    I honestly have nothing against Wheeler, but you are expecting a guy who came up with that "unique PvP artifact weapon" idea to "bust zerg gameplay"? That idea that will make the whole server converge on one point and get zerged by the biggest emp-zerg with a super powerful weapon?

    Let’s assume that it is the most pleasant scenario and they combined pve/pvp teams for singular balancing and design thus not warranting this position. That is indicative of a change in direction. I mean I could see them having separate progression systems for pvp and pve, possibly doing away with the CP system, implementing changes to classes to perhaps revert changes that were made for CP balance and maybe even changing some of the sillier item sets.

    Perhaps the proc sets could provide an ability where you have to place it on your skill bar to activate the proc set thus taking up an ability slot....curious to see what people will say and perhaps one gem from this thread gets taken seriously by ZOS and maybe implemented.

    All Khajiit will be fed to Dragons. Starting with player Khajiit first.

    Second. Slaughter fish in Cyrodiil will fly and hunt in packs.

    Third. Mudcrabs will be new mount. Will replace all other mounts

    Fourth all gear and stats will be normalized in PVP. Skill counts. White gear for all.

    Fifth Siege weapons have a chance to malfuntion. Killing all players nearby.

    Sixth. With the Last Elseweyr Q4 patch Jails and prisons will be incorporated into the game system.But not for players who steal or do stuff the guards can handle. But a Jail system where the Avatars of dirty no good cheats bots and hackers ( Zos maintains the jails )will reside. For us to throw fruit at.

    All PVE dungeons will feature doors that lock all players inside until
    1.They complete the content
    2. Make nice with each other
    3. Or they complete step 1 and bypass step two not three and never 4 by acquiring a shrubbery

    More later; my Guinness is getting started at by the dog.

    Brian Wheeler will do a great job as the new lead combat director. Whatever he does i know we will get a better a closer balanced game.

    Hopefully Zos lets him communicate more about his ideas but at the very least I know he will do his best to listen to the community and work with them. Hes always been a nice guy that seems like he has community interests at heart.

    It's certainly in line with bringing more CHAOS to Cyrodiil.

    Nothing is going to change is my opinion.

    I hope so. The team has done a good job so far by not going off the deep end by listening exclusively to one sort of player type or another.

    Most people play pvp for large numbers battles.

    I am excited. Does this mean we get no more broken proc sets as "balance solutions" , no more class bias? No more "nerf X cause forums don't like it"?

    If so , it might be a good year for PvP.
    But the upcoming fortnite weapons to cyrodiil makes me thing it might be even worse.

    Then again, everything in this thread is pure speculation. We'll have to wait and see.

    No thanks. If I wanted turn-based combat, I'd play a game designed around it.

    From a player's perspective I don't expect this change of back-room personnel to make any noticeable difference to our experience of playing the game.

    Considering Wrobel and Wheeler have worked reasonably close all these years I can't see anything drastic changing, especially as others within ZOS hierarchy seem pretty happy with how ESO plays now.

    It might mean a new approach on on some things, maybe new and different forms of communication, maybe the return of the ESO Live whiteboard.

    For the sake of him, I hope that is the case. For the sake of the community, I hope they have a different approach. For me, the cheese proc sets/shield breaker/bleeds/oblivion damage should not be in game. Let me rephrase. They shouldn’t need to be in game. I hope they change a lot of this garbage. A good start would be making the procs on sets require you to slot an ability to use them and to make abilities like reflective scales reflect them.

    No thanks. If I wanted turn-based combat, I'd play a game designed around it.

    I personally don't mind animation cancelling and I don't see ZOS getting rid of it any time soon. But removing it would not turn the combat into a turn based thing. Biggest change would be not having those light attacks in between skills anymore.

    Monster proc sets definitely have to be addressed in pvp.

    Fix the current quest item to become a poly rather than disguise, like skeleton. Or crown store poly.


    Earthgore only heals self or just removes ground aoe

    Aoe siege is reworked to just apply status effects and not do damage
    Siege should also only be allowed the immediate parameter of a keep/outpost.

    Speed and immunity need some love or the inverse is snares and roots could use some chopping down to major minor 30/15

    Timestop shouldn’t snare and it would benefit the game and the performance if it wasn’t on the bars of every pug, itching to be a chronomancer spamming it.

    Draining shot needs the reverted distance or a change to the stun. Maybe have it knock up like clench or knock down like db

    Sets that require system checks, proc sets, or interact with a player and x, y, z effect occur when you reach a, b, c requirement, should be changed to raw stats or unique buffs/group uses (trans, hundings) not calurion, sloads.

    Cp raw stats not percentage based and remove the passives gained for having 120 points into a tree (arcane well, etc )

    Aoe Healing and ults affect only the players in your group while single target (heal ward/bol/vine) etc can be used for those outside of group.

    Reduce group size to 12-16
