Necromancer and Previous Content.

Probably a dumb question, but will the Necromancer be able to do all the previous content? From the tutorial up until the previous DLC?

I don't see why they wouldn't. The Warden could go backwards just fine. Not to mention that they've been starting people in the new areas each time they've put out a new chapter so every new character has to go backwards.

They will likely start in a new tutorial, but can still go back to the original start in cold harbor.

It would be extremely controversial if they released a new class and then locked them into just 1 map. It would basically make playing a necromancer pointless. It might resolve some of the lore issues people have raised, but it's not something I can imagine ZOS actually doing.

Nice to know. I just had to be sure so that I'm won't miss out on previous quests by returning to this game with the Necromancer as my main.

I doubt that would ever happen. You'll definitely be able to go back and do the other content. First order of business for me is getting my mage, fighters and undaunted skill lines and working through the main game and going from there. Will be fun to play as a necromancer through all of that content.
Crown Crates are a trap. Don't fall for the gamble! Balance? What Balance? Balance, smellance.

Only downside is that I really want to play right now but I want to be doing so as a Necromancer. 😭

I REALLY wish we had the option of choosing to do the game in chronological order of release with regard to the starting areas of each expansion.

Yeah. This chaps me no end.... If I've ALREADY PAID FOR THE NEW CONTENT.... as I have, and will, and do - then I should get to choose where to start damn it!

That's why I'm playing my new toon from Summerset story to murkmire. That way when I create my necromancer I'll go through the main story from base game and take sometime to get back to Summerset so it won't be as though I'm doing the same stories over and over again.

During the stream, they did state that there would definitely be a new tuturial. I wonder though, do you think new characters will also be able to go to the other, later tuturials for Morrowind and Summerset?

    YES!!!

Like, they could add into the "wanna skip the tutorial" dialouge field, give us more options there... want to skip tutorial or... play the coldharbour "prisoner" tutorial, the morrowind "shipwreck" tutorial, the summerset "mind trap" tutorial, or the new upcoming elsweyr tutorial...?

Heck, maybe someday they would have enough tutorials to give -every- race their own (like, dunmer start with the morrowind shipwreck, altmer with the summerset mind trap, khajiit with the elsweyr... whatever it will be), and then have a choice for them to continue from there straight into coldharbour over the "mysterious benefactor" or play the new stuff first... (though I would always want to go for coldharbour, as that one delivers an IC-explaination for any respawning one would do...)

If they are bringing Alfred Molina for this chapter, they'd better tidy up that line in Coldharbour where Tharn tells you "we'll make a necromancer of you yet".
