Please make Impale non-reflectable

It is currently the only execute that can be reflected.

Magblades deserve to have one ranged skill that is non-reflectable. Please consider Impale for that.

IMO, with the new travel time, Assassin's Will should become undodgeable.

    DK nerf thread

One ranged skill in Magblade arsenal being non-reflectable is hardly a DK nerf thread.

I had no idea impale was reflectable. Been a DK since launch and never noticed.

Raise the threshold to 30%. With the lag it is so hard to get the timing right in pvp and the window closes in a heartbeat.

Hehe. When you hit yourself for an 18k impale it hurts and you notice.

Just my opinion but I don't think they should change it. It would be very strong. Once you see flappy flap you just have to start counting. So many DK's can't consistently remember to keep them up. Whereas most sorcs do for their shields. It's really odd.

You dont hit yourself for an 18k impale. A reflected skill is counted as skill originating from the reflector and thus won't hurt you much unless you decide to try and impale a raid buffed DK with the 30% wings morph while being at 5k health in all light divines, no CP allocated and not blocking.

I remember getting a death recap with Impale and 18k ish on it. I was fighting some DK on the hill next to bleakers. I assumed that I had done myself in. But maybe it was something else.

Edit: I probably did qualify for most of those things. All light, not much impen, low health etc. Definitely not blocking but 500 ish CP at the time.

Yes thank goodness for this at least.

The problem with that is that wings just becomes weaker directly and it does very little for most magblades getting a DK into execute range. Only the zergier ones. Even putting strife as unreflectable a magblade wouldn't kill a DK unless zerging them down

What they should instead do is revamp wings so then its not a flat nerf to a limited skill and instead becomes more varied and allows counterplay.

Wings needs to have far fewer exceptions to the rules. If it's a projectile, it should be reflectable. With that said, if there is a legitimate balance reason why an ability should not be reflectable, I'd recommend they change that ability into a beam, ground based effect, etc. so that it can no longer be reflected but doesn't also get added to an ever expanding list of projectiles that can't be reflected.

I can respect that it should follow the same rules as other projectiles.

I think if we brainstormed enough we would find other exceptions. It's likely my class bias but I see nothing wrong with Magblades receiving one exception.

My perspective is that the exception should be Impale because it would then follow the rules of all executes.

Even Poison Injection can still "execute" when the projectile is reflected. I wouldn't mind Impale mimicking that but it would need to behave differently of course.

    Fixed that for you ;)

Please note: I have a MagBlade, a MagDK and a MagSorc, all used in PvP. So I get all sides of this debate. I'm not playing favorites.
That being said, MagBlades DO have non-reflectable attacks that hit hard and scale properly with Mag. They're just Melee range.
That forces you into Melee range. Ding ding ding that's what wings are supposed to do. They're doing their job.
Complaining about Wings forcing you into melee range would be like someone complaining that Cloak makes you invisible -.-
